The Boy Jesus in the Temple

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 2, 41 – 52:

Each year his parents went to Jerusalem for the feast of Pentecost, and when he was twelve years old, they went up according to festival custom. After they had completed its days, as they were returning, the boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem, but his parents did not know it. Thinking that he was in the caravan, they journeyed for a day and looked for him among their relatives and acquaintances, but not finding him, they returned to Jerusalem to look for him. After three days the found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions, and all who heard him were astounded at his understanding and his answers. When the parents saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety.” And he said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house”? But they did not understand what he said to them. He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them; and his mother kept all these things in her heart. And Jesus advanced in wisdom and age and favor before God and man.

During these days many people have called me from different parts of the world asking me to pray for them as they were sick. I prayed with many people every day. They have many kinds of sickness: eye problems, stomach ache, lung problems and many others. I never refuse to pray with anybody and I pray with hope that the Lord will heal them. Some have called me afterwards to tell me that they were much better. Thank you Lord.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Do you have a question My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who read this Bible passage about My being lost in the temple. My parents and I had gone to Jerusalem for the Feast of Pentecost but when they left for home, I stay back in Jerusalem. Why did I do that? The reason is to teach My parents that I am the Son of God and I loved to stay in the Temple because this was the home of My Eternal Father. This is why I told My Mother when She asked Me why I had done this to Her that She should have known that I was in My Father’s house. You know that I love My Father and We are united together. This was My great joy to be in His house and feel His presence there and listen to His word. I would have preferred to stay there all My life but I was now a human being so I had to return to Nazareth with My human family. I love them and I was still only twelve years old.
I have a home in the world in many towns and villages. There are My churches where I live in the Tabernacle. My friends, you should be happy to come to My house and visit Me and to spend time talking to Me. It is a great place to go and pray. I listen to all you say and I will speak to your heart when you come to visit Me. Remember I love you and I want to give you all the graces and gifts you need. I bless you all.”
