The Return from Egypt

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 2, 19 – 23:

When Herod had died, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought to child’s life are dead.” He rose, took the child and his mother, and went to the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was ruling over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go back there. And because he had been warned in a dream, he departed for the region of Galilee. He went and dwell in a town called Nazareth, so that what had been spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled, “He shall be called a Nazorean.”

The New Year 2015 is very near and it is during this year that the money for Our Blessed Mother should come. Money is needed to build the two monasteries and the Big Shrine in honor of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island, the Mother of Life. I ask you all to pray that the funds will come now so that we can start building in the Spring. I am praying too for all of you that the Lord will bless you during the New Year in a very special way and give you all the graces you need. May the Holy Spirit come upon you on the Feast and strengthen you to work for Jesus, Our Lord.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Come and travel with us My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have read My story about My birth and how I had to go to Egypt with My parents because King Herod wanted to kill Me. We stayed in Egypt seven years and we had a quiet life. My foster father Joseph worked as a carpenter and so we could live without any trouble. However, when King Herod died, an angel of the Lord came to Joseph and told him to return to Israel with My Mother and I. So we traveled for some days all the way to Jerusalem and there we found out that Archelaus was the new king of Israel. He was the son of King Herod. He must have know what his father wanted to do to Me. He tried to kill Me but he did not succeed because we were already gone to Egypt, but if Archelaus gets to know that I am back he might try again to kill me, so Joseph decided to continue our journey and go to Nazareth which is a good few days north of Jerusalem. When we arrived in Nazareth we went back to the home Joseph and My Mother had there. They had to repair it after all these years and we lived there. Melvin, My brother, you spent a week in Nazareth and you saw the house where we lived. We used to go to the Synagogue every week and pray and it was always a joy for Me to join all the people in prayer.
My dear friends, I invite you to study My life and see how wonderful My young days were with My parents in Nazareth. Joseph worked as a carpenter and he taught Me to be a carpenter too. I thank the Lord for My stay in this lovely town and I came to know many of the youth there. My Mother was a great saint and She loved to teach Me about the Jewish religion and about Her love for My Heavenly Father. Come My dear friends and remain always close to us. I bless you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. We had a lovely sunny day today but it was colder than usual.
