The Flight to Egypt

The Flight to Egypt

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 2, 13 – 19:

When the Magi had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.” Joseph rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed for Egypt. He stayed there until the death of Herod, that what the Lord had said through the prophet might be fulfilled, “Out of Egypt I call my son.”

The Massacre of the Infants:
When Herod realized that he had been deceived by the magi, he became furious. He ordered the massacre of all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had ascertained from the magi. Then was fulfilled what had been said through Jeremiah the prophet:
“A voice was heard in Ramah, sobbing and loud lamentation;
Rachel weeping for her children, and she would not be consoled, since they were no more.”

My sister took sick with the flu on Christmas Eve and she was very sick on Christmas Day. She was vomiting and had great pain in her stomach and she could not eat. I prayed for her that the Lord would heal her and on December 26th, she was completely healed. I thank the Lord for healing my sister.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who love Me, Jesus, to continue your walk with Me. Know that I love you all and I am always there to help you.
When I was only a small baby in Bethlehem, King Herod was very angry that the Magi did not return to him and tell him where I was born. So he decided to kill Me by massacring all the boys around Bethlehem who was two years old and less. So he sent the army and they killed all these small children hoping that I would be among them. Of course I was not in Bethlehem when the army came for an angel had told My foster father Joseph that he should go with Me and My Mother and flee to Egypt. We left the same night and traveled to Egypt. We stayed there for seven years until King Herod was dead.
The Magi were very faithful men who came to adore Me and to give Me great gifts. However, Herod was of the devil. This is a premonition of what would happen to Me in years to come. The leaders of the Jews had Me arrested and they brought Me before their court and condemned Me to death by nailing Me to the cross. So I died for all of you to atone for your sins and to open Heaven for you all. I love you and I am always working for your salvation.”

P.S. I thank the Lord for another beautiful sunny day. There is not a cloud in the sky and it is not windy. The Lord is marvelous.

The Presentation in the Temple

The Presentation in the Temple

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 2, 22 – 35:

When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses, they took him (the child Jesus) up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, just as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male that opens the womb shall be consecrated to the Lord,” and to offer the sacrifice of “a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons,” in accordance with the dictate of the law of the Lord.
Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, awaiting the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. It has been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Messiah of the Lord. He came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to perform the custom of the law in regard to him, he took him into his arms and blessed God, saying:
“Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples,
a light for revelation to the Gentiles and glory for your people Israel.”
The child’s father and mother were amazed at what was said about him, and Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradicted: and you yourself a sword will pierce, so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”

For the Church, the great Feast of Christmas does not end on December 25 but it continues for a whole week and it is called the Octave of Christmas. So we have a full week to celebrate this very important Feast. Do not take down the decorations of Christmas right after the Feast on December 25 but keep them up until New Year’s Day.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters during this Octave of Christmas as you celebrate over a whole week the wonderful happening in the city of Bethlehem. Joseph and I went there and when we arrived it was time for Me to give birth to My Son Jesus. It was in the city of David that Jesus was born for truly He is a descendant of King David. Eight days after His birth Joseph and I took the child Jesus to Jerusalem to the temple to offer Him up to God the Father. While we were there, a man called Simeon came to us and asked if he could hold the child. I gave him the Child Jesus and he held Him in his arms and prophesied. He said that the child Jesus was a light to the Gentiles and glory for his people Israel. He then turned to Me and said these words, “Behold this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradicted, and you yourself a sword will pierce so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
I never forgot this prophecy for it spoke about Me. A sword would pierce My heart one day. This happened at the foot of the cross of My Son Jesus. As I stood there seeing Him suffer so horribly, I felt as if a sword pierced My heart. However, due to the grace of God, I did not fall but I kept standing on my feet. I knew that He was the Messiah, the Savior of all the people of the world and that He had to suffer much to atone for all the sins of the world. He came into the world to show us His love and mercy and to save all those who believe in Him and follow Him. I love you all and My Son Jesus blesses you all.”

P.S. What a beautiful day we had on Dec. 26 with sunshine the whole day. Thank you Lord.

The Visit of the Shepherds

December 26, 2014

The Visit of the Shepherds

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 2, 15 – 20:

When the angels went away from them to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “let us go, then, to Bethlehem to see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.” So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about the child. All who heard it were amazed by what had been told them by the shepherds. And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them.

The weather here for the Feast of Christmas was mainly rain. It rained hard on Christmas Eve and in the morning there was not even a bit of snow left. It had all disappeared in the rain. On Christmas Day it rained again until the evening. After all that rain we should have sunshine between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Notwithstanding the rain, I was filled with joy on the great Feast and I thank the Lord for all the graces He gave me and I hope all of you also received great graces.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Come and join the shepherds and sing My dear brother Melvin and all My dear brothers and sisters who celebrated My Great Feast Day. An angel went to visit the shepherds in the fields and told them about My birth in Bethlehem. Then a big group of angels joined him and they sang in great joy on the Day I was born.
Afterwards they came to Bethlehem and found My parents and they saw Me lying in a manger. They told My parents about the angel and all that he had said. They were amazed at what the shepherds told them.
My dear friends, come in spirit to Bethlehem today and kneel before the manger and take Me in your arms. Be filled with great joy and peace for I have arrived the one who was foretold thousands of years ago. I come for each one of you to show you My love and to die for you for your salvation. Walk with Me every day by following what I have taught you. I want you near Me every day and you will receive the graces you need to follow the path I traced out for you. One day I will return to take you with Me to heaven. I bless you all.”
