The Ascension of Jesus

The Ascension of Jesus

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 1, 6 – 10:

When the Apostles had gathered together they asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom of Israel?” It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight. While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going, suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them. They said, Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.” Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Oliver, which is near Jerusalem, a sabbath day’s journey away.

When I was in England some years ago, a couple came to me and asked me to pray with them. They had been married for about five years and they did not have any children. They wanted a child with all their heart. So I prayed over them both asking the Lord to bless them with a child. After six month I received an e-mail from the woman who wrote that she was now pregnant. When the child was born she wrote me again telling me that she gave birth to a boy. Both her and her husband were very happy with the arrival of a child. I prayed and thanked the Lord for giving them this great gift of a child.

Below you will fine the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words, “Believe with all your heart My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters that after forty days on earth after My resurrection, I ascended into heaven. I had brought the Apostles to the top of the Mount of Olive and I told them that they had to be My witnesses in Jerusalem and Israel and throughout the world. After telling them this, I started to rise from the ground. Then a cloud came and I disappeared from their eyes. I was gone to heaven and I was given the thrown on My Father’s right hand and from there I would guard all the peoples of the earth. Then two angels appeared to the Apostles and told them that I was gone but that I would return one day at the end of the world and this will be for the judgment of the living and the dead. So that day I disappeared from their eyes but spiritually I was always very close to them. I lived in their hearts.
Yes, My dear friends, I will return in the future and nobody knows the day or the hour. I will return to judge the living and the dead. The people will be divided into two groups, one on My right and the other on My left. Those on My right will come with Me to heaven but those on My left will go down into hell. So come follow Me so that when I return you will find yourselves on My right and not on My left. I bless you all.”

P.S. We had a dark and wet day on Wednesday. It rained heavily most of the day. However, nice sunny days will be here soon. May the Lord fill you all with all the graces you need to follow Him.

The Promise of the Spirit

The Promise of the Spirit

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 1, 1 – 5:

In the first book, Theophilus, I dealt with all that Jesus did and taught until the day he was taken up, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. He presented himself alive to them by many proofs after he had suffered, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. While meeting with them, he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for “the promise of the Father” about which you have heard me speak; for John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

My sister Esther went to see her doctor today and she received good news. There is no trace of cancer in her now. No cancer has spread to any parts of her body and you can believe that she is very happy. I thank the Lord for this great news.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words, “You have received the Holy Spirit My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who were baptized and confirmed. You have received all the gifts of the Holy Spirit but have you put these gifts into practice? This is important that you make use of these wonderful gifts in order to grow in holiness.
I am the one who promised the Holy Spirit to the Apostles before My Ascension. It was of great importance that the Holy Spirit come upon them to fill them with great faith, to strengthen them to do all that I had asked them to do, and to bear all the trials and sufferings they were to suffer during their years of work as Apostles.
You know that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Blessed Trinity and we can say that He is the love between the Father and Me, His Son. He is the one who brings holiness to the people. Those who receive the Holy Spirit and work together with Him will grow in holiness every day. They will have the strength to avoid sin and the power to do good work for the growth of My Church and for the Kingdom of God. You do not have to receive the Holy Spirit just once, no, you can receive the Holy Spirit every day. Ask Him to come to you every morning and to help you throughout the day. You will receive great graces to walk the right path to eternal life. I bless you all.”

P.S. We had another fine sunny day. It was nice and warm in the afternoon and all the farmers are in their fields doing the last bit in planting potatoes and sowing other crops. I am praying for all of you.

The Commissioning of the Disciples

The Commissioning of the Disciples

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 28, 16 – 20:

The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them. When they saw him, they worshiped but they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Some time ago a couple came to see me with their little girl of about 6 years of age and she was very sick. I just received an e-mail from her mother who wrote that by the prayers and the grace of God, her daughter is healed and she is full of life. The mother is so happy and she wants to come to Prince Edward Island again this summer. Thank you Lord for all you do for so many people.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“It is a joy for Me that you are united to Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters and I want you all to remain united to Me all the days of your life. You are all called to share in the work I gave the Apostles. You must visit people and speak to them about your faith and call them to prayer, to go to church every week and to work for the end of the horrible sins of abortion, euthanasia and same-sex marriage. I want that all these sins may end as soon as possible because those who do these things are in grave danger of going to hell. I want all the people of the world to come and follow Me and to work with Me. Pray for them every day and work by visiting them and giving them pamphlets and prayers that they can read every day. I want a new awakening in every country of the world. I bless you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. What a beautiful day we had on Monday. It was cloudy in the morning but before noon all the clouds disappeared and the sun came out bright with plenty of heat. The temperature was great during the afternoon. I pray for you all.
