The Promise of the Spirit

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 1, 1 – 5:

In the first book, Theophilus, I dealt with all that Jesus did and taught until the day he was taken up, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. He presented himself alive to them by many proofs after he had suffered, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. While meeting with them, he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for “the promise of the Father” about which you have heard me speak; for John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

My sister Esther went to see her doctor today and she received good news. There is no trace of cancer in her now. No cancer has spread to any parts of her body and you can believe that she is very happy. I thank the Lord for this great news.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words, “You have received the Holy Spirit My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who were baptized and confirmed. You have received all the gifts of the Holy Spirit but have you put these gifts into practice? This is important that you make use of these wonderful gifts in order to grow in holiness.
I am the one who promised the Holy Spirit to the Apostles before My Ascension. It was of great importance that the Holy Spirit come upon them to fill them with great faith, to strengthen them to do all that I had asked them to do, and to bear all the trials and sufferings they were to suffer during their years of work as Apostles.
You know that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Blessed Trinity and we can say that He is the love between the Father and Me, His Son. He is the one who brings holiness to the people. Those who receive the Holy Spirit and work together with Him will grow in holiness every day. They will have the strength to avoid sin and the power to do good work for the growth of My Church and for the Kingdom of God. You do not have to receive the Holy Spirit just once, no, you can receive the Holy Spirit every day. Ask Him to come to you every morning and to help you throughout the day. You will receive great graces to walk the right path to eternal life. I bless you all.”

P.S. We had another fine sunny day. It was nice and warm in the afternoon and all the farmers are in their fields doing the last bit in planting potatoes and sowing other crops. I am praying for all of you.
