Perseverance in Trial

A reading from the Letter of James 1, 1 – 11:

James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes in the dispersion, greetings.
Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. And let perseverance be perfect, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and he will be given it. But he should ask in faith, not doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord, since he is a man of two minds, unstable in all his ways.
The brother in lowly circumstances should take pride in his high standing, and the rich one in his lowliness, for he will pass away “like the flower of the field.” For the sun comes up with its scorching heat and dries up the grass, its flower droops, and the beauty of its appearance vanishes. So will the rich person fade away in the midst of his pursuits.

Saturday, was one of the most beautiful and sunny day we had so far. There was a little wind which means that it was not too hot and I went for a walk and it was very nice. I am continuing to pray for all of you that the Lord will bless you all and give you the help that you need.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me as your Savior and friend. Saint James is one of My great friends who had great faith and a great love for Me. His letter fits beautifully in the Bible. He calls himself a slave of God and My slave too. He wrote this letter to the Christians all over the known world to teach them about the meaning of faith and works. He starts by writing that every Christian has to go through trials and these trials are tests for your faith. If you persevere through those trials, then your faith will get strong and you will be perfect. If you lack something, then you have to ask your Lord with faith without doubting. If you doubt then you will not receive what you are asking for. It is those who are in lowly circumstances who are standing high in the face of your Lord and the rich though stand in his lowliness before God. It is the rich person that disappear first in his worldly pursuits.
My dear friends, consider yourself a poor person who needs My help and I will give you what you need if you have strong faith in Me. Remain united to Me and you will have the joy, love and peace in your heart that I give to all My friends. I bless you all.”
