The Entry into Jerusalem

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 19, 28 – 40:

After he had said this, Jesus proceeded on his journey up to Jerusalem. As he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany at the place called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples. He said, “Go into the village opposite you, and as you enter it you will find a colt tethered on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here. And if anyone should ask you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ you will answer, ‘The Master has need of it.'” So those who had been sent went off and found everything just as he had told them. And as they were untying the colt, its owner said to them, “Why are you untying this colt?” They answered, “The Master has need of it.” So they brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks over the colt, and helped Jesus to mount. As he rode along, the people were spreading their cloaks on the road, and now as he was approaching the slope of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of his disciples began to praise God aloud with joy for all the mighty deeds they had seen. They proclaimed:
“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord.
Pease in heaven and glory in the highest.”
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” He said in reply, “I tell you, if they keep silent, the stones will cry out.”

We are arriving at the fifth Sunday of Lent and next Sunday it will be Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week. We have to prepare now for Holy Week, the days of the Passion and Easter Sunday. Great days are approaching. Today I attended the funeral of a friend of mine who was found dead in his home. He was a man with great faith and he came to our monthly meeting for Pro-Life. Many attended the Funeral Mass.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I am your King My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who call Me the Messiah, the Savior of the world. As the story says I sent two of My disciples to the village opposite where we were to go and bring the colt they will find tied there. They did go and found the colt and brought it to Me. I sat on it and the people put their coats on the road so the colt could pass over them. They sang this hymn: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord.” There was great joy in all the people present as they walked along near the Mount of Olives. Yes, indeed I am the King who arrives in the City of God to offer Myself in sacrifice for the salvation of all the people of the world.
My dear friends, I call you too to join in spirit My disciples as they celebrated My entry into Jerusalem. This is the Holy City of God for the Father has chosen it for his great Temple. The temple was the greatest place of worship in the whole world and all the Jewish people would come there every year to worship and to offer sacrifices for themselves and their families. Today however the temple does not exist any more. It was destroyed by the Romans in the year 70. Now that I have come into the world as the Messiah and Lord, the place of worship are the churches spread throughout the world. All who believe in Me go to their church and join in the Holy Mass and come to receive Me in Holy Communion. My true churches are the places were I reside in the Holy Eucharist. They are my homes and your place to come and worship. Do this regularly. I bless you all.”
