The Role of God’s Ministers (2)

A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians 3, 10 – 23:

According to the grace of God given to me, like a wise master builder I had a foundation, and another is building upon it. But each one must be careful how he builds upon it, for no one can lay a foundation other than the one that is there, namely Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, the work of each will come to light, for the Day will disclose it. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each one’s work. If the work stands that someone built upon the foundation, that person will receive a wage. But if someone’s work is burned up, that one will suffer loss; the person will be saved, but only as through fire. Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person, for the temple of God, which you are, is holy.
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you considers himself wise in this age, let him become a fool so as to become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in the eyes of God, for it is written:
“He catches the wise in their own ruses,”
and again: “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.”
So let no one boast about human beings, for everything belongs to you, Paul or Apollos or Kephas, or the world of life or death, or the present or the future; all belong to you, and you to Christ and Christ to God.

It was cold today and when I got up this morning I found a thin blanket of snow everywhere. The front of the house and the roads were all white. I had to go to Summerside today but I was happy to find that the main road to Summerside was completely clear of snow. There was absolutely no snow on that road. However, it was cold and we might get more snow tonight.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I love you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters spread throughout the world. As you are followers of My Son Jesus, you are called to build up the building that St. Paul speaks about in the reading today. Saint Paul laid down the foundation and the foundation is My Son Jesus. So you are called to build on this foundation. What are you going to use to build on this foundation? Are you going to use gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay or straw. By this Paul means, how are you going to build up your life with Jesus as your foundation? Are you going to be a person of prayer, one who follows all the commandments of God and loves everyone? If you do then you have built with gold, silver and precious stone. If you only have weak faith and hardly pray and do not go to church and do not go to confession, then you are building on wood, hay or straw. When the fire comes, the gold, silver and precious stone will not be damage but the fire will burn the wood, the hay and the straw and there will be nothing left. Make sure that you build with the right material so the building will not be destroyed.
You know by Baptism that you are the temple of God and that the Holy Spirit dwells in you. If you destroy God’s temple, God will destroy you. Remember that the temple of God, which you are, is holy. Remember I am praying for you all that you may remain the friends of My Son Jesus so that one day you will be with us in heaven. I love you all.”

P.S. The sun did shine today but there were clouds.
