The Role of God’s Ministers

A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians 3, 1 –

Brothers and sisters, I could not talk to you as a spiritual people, but as fleshly people, as infants in Christ. I fed you milk, not solid food, because you were unable to take it. Indeed, you are still not able, even now, for you are still of the flesh. While there is jealousy and rivalry among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving in the ordinary human way? Whenever someone says, “I belong to Paul,” and another, “I belong to Apollos,” are you not merely human?
What is Apollos, after all, and what is Paul? Ministers through whom you became believers, just as the Lord assigned each one. I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused the growth. Therefore, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who causes the growth. The one who plants and the one who waters are equal, and each will receive wages in proportion to his labor. For we are God’s co-workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

I thank the Lord for the money that came in today. Some have sent me American dollars. altogether I received $250 US dollars. I also received $60 Canadian. A person from France sent me a cheque but I will not be able to get the money before the month of January. May the Lord bless you for your generosity. I hope soon I will have enough money to pay the court.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to be spiritual people and not people who follow the flesh. Is there jealousy and rivalry among you? If there is then indeed you follow the flesh. Spiritual people are those who love every person and pray for them. In this way you act the way I showed you and in that case you are united with Me.
Some people show off by saying they belong to Paul and others say they belong to Apollos. Paul and Apollos are ministers and they did what I told them to do. The example Paul gives is that of a field. There is one person who plants in the field, there is another who waters that field but God is the one who causes the plants to grow. So without God there would be no plants in that field. Therefore the one who plants and the one who waters are not of great importance but it is the one who causes the plants to grow who is the most important. Therefore, remember that you belong to Me and I am the One working to bring you to eternal life one day. I call you all to turn to Me and do all that I have commanded you and you will truly be Christians who will be blessed. The ministers have their role to play for they have been appointed by Me. So listen to them for they will bring you to Me for I have the graces you need to advance every day. I will send the Holy Spirit upon you to give you the strength and the life you need. He will make your faith grow so that you may believe without doubting. I bless you all.”
