The Death of Jesus

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 27, 45 – 57:

From noon onward, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. And about three o’clock Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” Some of the bystanders who heard it said, “This one is calling for Elijah.” Immediately one of them ran to get a sponge; he soaked it in wine, and putting it on a reed, gave it to him to drink. But the rest said, “Wait, let us see if Elijah comes to save him.” But Jesus cried out again in a loud voice, and gave up his spirit. And behold, the veil of the sanctuary was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked, rocks were split, tombs were opened, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised. And coming forth from their tombs after his resurrection, they entered the holy city and appeared to many. The centurion and the men with him who were keeping watch over Jesus feared greatly when they saw the earthquake and all that was happening, and they said, “Truly, this was the Son of God!” There were many women there, looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him. Among them were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

Yesterday June 12th was my sister’s birthday. Her name is Esther and she is the one who lost her husband a few months ago. She is 74 years old today. She had an operation to remove the cancer from her breast about a week ago and she is now doing not too bad. Please pray for her.

Below is the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me as your Savior and Lord. Indeed I was crucified on the cross about noon and at three o’clock in the afternoon I shouted the words of Psalm 22: ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” I would like every one of you to read this psalm on Friday June 13th. This was the psalm I was reciting just before I died on the cross. The people did not know what I was saying. They thought that I was calling upon the prophet Elijah and they wanted to wait to see if Elijah would come to save Me. This psalm is a prayer to My Heavenly Father and it is a beautiful psalm. After praying this psalm, I cried again and died. Many things did happen after My death on the cross. However, St. Matthew did not mention that My Mother was at the cross when I died. I spoke to Her just before My death. I gave Her to you all to become your Mother. St. Matthew did not write about this because he was not present at My cross when I died. The only Apostle present was St. John and he wrote in his gospel all that happened there at the cross just before I died and also what happened at My death.”
