Let us Love One Another

A reading from the Second Letter of Saint John 1, 1 – 13:

The Presbyter to the chosen Lady and to her children whom I love in truth–and not only I but also all who know the truth–because of the truth that dwells in us and will be with us forever. Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Father’s Son in truth and love.
I rejoice greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth just as we were commanded by the Father. But now, Lady, I ask you, not as though I were writing a new commandment but the one we have had from the beginning: let us love one another. For this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, as you heard from the beginning, in which you should walk.
Many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, such is the deceitful one and the antichrist. Look to yourselves that you do not lose what we worked for but may receive a full recompense. Anyone who is so “progressive” as not to remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God, whoever remains in the teaching has the Father and the Son. If anyone coming to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him in your home or even greet him; for whoever greets him shares in his evil works.
Although I have much to write to you, I do not intend to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and to speak face to face so that our joy may be complete. The children of your chosen sister send you greetings.

I thank all those who sent me Christmas Cards and are offering prayers for me every day. Tomorrow is New Year’s Day. I wish you all a Blessed New Year and may the Lord fill you all with His graces throughout the year. I pray that you will have good health and be filled with peace and joy.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Love one another My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me who was born in Bethlehem and lived on earth until I died nailed to the cross. I gave you all one commandment: love one another as I love you. You are to love God with all your heart and to follow Him every day of your life. I call you to be a person of prayer and to be an active member of My Church I founded on the Apostles. My Church is now present in every country of the world. My Church is the one that has as its leader the Successor of Saint Peter as Bishop of Rome. Follow your leader chosen through the power of the Holy Spirit. I want you all to love all your brothers and sisters. If anyone has offended you in any way, you are to forgive him or her and to continue to love that person. I gave you this example: after I was crucified to the cross, I told My Heavenly Father to forgive all those who have caused Me great suffering and have nailed Me to the cross. You too are to forgive like I did. I bless you all and I give you the graces you need for the New Year.”
