The Great Feast of Christmas

Dear Friends,

In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole world should be enrolled. This was the first enrollment, when Quirinius was governor of Syria. So all went to be enrolled, each to his own town. And Joseph too went up from Galilee from the town of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David that is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were shepherds in that region living in the fields and keeping the night watch over their flock. The angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were struck with great fear. The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” (Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 2:1-14)

I concelebrated Christmas Holy Mass last night at our Parish of the Immaculate Conception, Palmer Road. I will go back again this morning at 11:00 a.m. for the Christmas Day Mass. Many people attended last evening and many will come today. What great joy it is to celebrate this Great Feast of the Birth of Our Savior and Lord. Again I wish you all a Holy and Blessed Christmas and I pray that you open your hearts to the Lord to receive the graces He has for you.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:)

“A very special blessing to you, My brother Melvin, and to all My brothers and sisters living in the world. Be filled with joy on this day of My birth. I want you all to relive this great event for this birth of mine becomes present at every Christmas. As I am divine, this feast is eternal and when you attend the celebration at Church, it is the same as if you were right there in Bethlehem when I was born. Indeed this great event becomes present.

Our Heavenly Father has not forgotten you. He loves you always as a father who cares for his children. He is the one who sent Me to be born of the Virgin Mary, My Mother, and to come and live with you as a human being. I come to give My life for your salvation. I have a very important gift to give the world this Christmas. Open your hearts to accept this gift and you will receive an increase of faith, hope and love. A new awakening is here. I bless you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. I wish you all a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year 2012.
