The Birth of Jesus

Dear Friends,

Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit. Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly. Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,” which means “God is with us.” When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home. He had no relations with her until she bore a son, and he named him Jesus.(Passage from the Gospel of Matthew 1:18-25)

This night we will celebrate the birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God and He came into the world as one of us. God the Father celebrated His birth in a very special way. Although Jesus was born in a cave among animals, the Father sent a choir of angels to sing during that great night. They sang, Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests. The Father sent a star above Bethlehem and it came down over the cave and lighted the whole area. An angel went to the shepherds and called them to come to Bethlehem to see the newborn child. The greatest event in human history had happened. Indeed God became man.

I wish you all a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year. May the Lord fill you all with His love, peace and joy.

(Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words:)

“Melvin My son and all My sons and daughters living in every part of the world, you will celebrate this night the birth of Jesus, My Son. You will contemplate this great event in Bethlehem and see Joseph, the baby Jesus and Myself in the cave with the animals. Jesus laid in the manger surrounded by light and very much alive. He came for you all. Here now is a very special message, which Jesus gave Me to give you for this Christmas:

He told Me that all the people who believe in Him would receive an abundance of grace at Christmas in order to bring them all closer to Him. This is a special grace through the Holy Spirit to awaken the people of the world from their slumber. It is time that there be a great renewal in the world. Let those who have little faith receive a great increase of faith and let them offer themselves totally to their Lord and Savior to follow all that He has asked of them. He wants a renewal among the Bishops, the priests and religious and especially among the laity. May the people return to church in great numbers every week and may they leave their sinful ways and live a life of virtue. This is the year, 2012, that I call you all to open your heart to this flood of grace that will come over you. Be filled with cheer as you begin again to walk in the light. I bless you all.”
