Return to Syrian Antioch

Return to Syrian Antioch

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 18, 18 – 23:

Paul remained for quite some time, and after saying farewell to the brothers he sailed for Syria, together with Priscilla and Aquila. At Cenchrene he had his hair cut because he had taken a vow. When they reached Ephesus, he left them there, while he entered the synagogue and held discussions with the Jews. Although they asked him to stay for a longer time, he did not consent, but as he said farewell he promised, “I shall come back to you again, God willing.” Then he set sail for Ephesus. Upon landing at Caesarea, he went up and greeted the church and then went down to Antioch. After staying there some time, he left and traveled in orderly sequence through the Galatian country and Phrygia, bring strength to all the disciples.

I was in Western Canada some years ago and I had a Healing Mass in one of the churches. Many people were present but there was a woman who was very sick. She could hardly walk. She came with all the others and I prayed over them. The next morning this woman came into the church full of joy and singing as the Lord had healed her completely. She was walking without trouble. Praise the Lord.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have given themselves completely to Me. Come and follow Saint Paul as he goes from country to country bringing many people into My Church. He stayed over a year in Corinth and many people there became members of My Church and they had great faith. Then he traveled to other cities where he had been before and he went to greet the members of My Church and he strengthened them. At the end he came to Antioch and there he stayed for some time. He had been there before and many people knew him there for he had instructed them and they had become Christians. They were very happy to see him and to ask for his prayers.
I ask you all to have a great love for your priests and to ask them to pray for you that you will have the strength and the faith to follow Me in good and not so good days. Be men and women of prayer and trust in Me that I am there to help you. All have to suffer at times but I am never far from you. My Mother is also near you and praying for you all. I bless you all.”

P.S. I thank the Lord for another beautiful sunny day with a little wind and it was warm.

Accusations before Gallio

Accusations before Gallio

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 18, 12 – 17:

But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews rose up together against Paul and brought him to the tribunal, saying, “This man is inducing people to worship God contrary to the law.” When Paul was about to reply, Gallio spoke to the Jews, “If it were a matter of some crime or malicious fraud, I should with reason hear the complaint of you Jews; but since it is a question of arguments over doctrine and titles and your own law, see to it yourselves. I do not wish to be a judge of such matters.” And he drove them away from the tribunal. They all seized Sosthenes, the synagogue official, and beat him in full view of the tribunal. But none of this was of concern to Gallio.

One woman came to visit me from the Island of Reunion which is located in the Indian Ocean off Africa. I prayed with her asking Jesus to heal her of her problem. After she got back she wrote to me saying that she felt better. The Lord is a great healer.

Below you will find the massage of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who are not afraid to go out and to speak to the people about Me. Saint Paul surely was not afraid to speak about Me to the people of Corinth whether they were Jews or Gentiles. However, like in so many cities, the Jews revolted against Paul and took him to court accusing him of spreading a new form of worship against the law of the Jews. Paul told the Gentiles that they do not have to be circumcised and they can eat any kind of food. So they did not have to follow the law of the Jews. He taught them that I am the Messiah announced in the Old Testament and that every person should come and follow Me. Most of the Jewish people in Israel did not accept Me as the Messiah but they rejected Me and had Me crucified on the cross. This was the sacrifice by which I paid the price for all your sins. After three days I came back to life and stayed with the Apostles for 40 days to strengthen their faith and to prepare them for the work I gave them to do.
Saint Paul was taken to court but the judge did not accept their accusation and instead he asked them to leave and he told them to decide this themselves. So Saint Paul did not have to say a word and he was freed. I was with him and I helped him to carry out the great work he did on My behalf. I bless you all and I call you to be men and women of prayer and to read the Bible every day and to go to Holy Mass at least every Sunday. I love you all.”

P.S. We had a beautiful Tuesday with plenty of sunshine and it was warm.

Paul in Corinth

August 26, 2014

Paul in Corinth

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 18, 1 – 11:

After this he left Athens and went to Corinth. There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla because Claudios had ordered all the Jews to leave Rome. He went to visit them and, because he practiced the same trade, stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade. Every sabbath, he entered into discussion in the synagogue, attempting to convince both Jews and Greeks.
When Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul began to occupy himself totally with preaching the word, testifying to the Jews that the Messiah was Jesus. When the opposed him and reviled him, he shook out his garments and said to them, “Your blood be on your heads! I am clear of responsibility. From now on I will go to the Gentiles. So he left there and went to a house belonging to a man names Titus Justus, a worshiper of God; his house was next to a synagogue. Crispus, the synagogue official, came to believe and many of the Corinthians who heard believed and were baptized. One night in a vision the Lord said to Paul, “Do not be afraid. Go on speaking, and do not be silent, for I am with you. No one will attack and harm you, for I have many people in this city.” He settled there for a year and a half and taught the word of God among them.

One day a woman came to see me and she had a very painful knee. I prayed to the Lord that He heals her. I blessed her in the name of Our Lord and Savior. After a few days she phoned me to let me know that her knee was healed and all the pain was gone. Thank you Jesus Our great friend.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have given their heart to Me. One person I loved very much was Saint Paul whom we find in Corinth in the reading. He worked for Me with all his strength and he won many people there for Me. Many believed in Me and were baptized. The majority of the Jews however did not accept what he taught them. It was especially the Greeks who accepted his teaching and came to know Me and to follow Me. I also spoke to Saint Paul while he was at Corinth. I told him these words, ‘Do not be afraid. Go on speaking, and do not be silent, for I am with you. No one will attack and harm you, for I have many people in this city.’ You know how Saint Paul was treated in the other cities he visited. He was often thrown into prison. That is why he felt afraid while he was in Corinth. He stayed in this town for one year and a half and he worked very well.
I also call you to continue to work for Me. Do not be afraid of the people for I am with you to help you. I love you all.”
