Knowledge Insufficient

A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians 8, 1 – 6:

Now in regard to meat sacrificed to idols, we realize that “all of us have knowledge” ; knowledge inflates with pride, but love builds up. If anyone supposes he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know. But if one loves God, one is known by him.
So about the eating of meat sacrificed to idols; we know that “there is no idol in the world,” and that “there is no God but one.” Indeed, even though there are so-called gods in heaven and on earth (there are, to be sure, many “gods” and may “lords”),
yet for us there is one God, the Father from whom all things are and for whom we exist;
and one Lord, Jesus Christ; through whom all things are and through whom we exist.

We had a beautiful day today Saturday. The sun came out in the afternoon and a lot of the snow melted. We will have another beautiful sunny day tomorrow and I am sure more snow will disappear. The roads are almost all clear of snow once again.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“You know My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters that there is only one God who is the Creator of all that exists and I am the only Lord and Savior through whom all things are and through whom you all exist.
Are there idols existing in the world? Idols are only the product of peoples’ imagination. They do not exist as such but some have invented them and they got the people to come and worship these non-existent beings. Some call them gods or lords but all this too is just foolishness because there is only one God who is Lord of all.
Many of the pagan people had their idols and gods and they would offer them sacrifices and worship them. I can only say that all these gods can only come from the evil one and anyone who worship such beings are worshipping the devil. Have nothing to do with Hinduism or Buddhism for these are not from God. The Romans at the time I was living on earth had many gods too and all this was false. It was part of paganism. Today New Age goes back to these pagan religions and it is of the devil. Please do not have anything to do with this New Age movement.
Come My dear friends and follow Me for I am true and I gave My life for you to save you. Come and walk with Me and you will be with Me one day in heaven. I love you all.”

P.S. Tomorrow we begin the season of Advent in preparation for Christmas. So make your act of faith in Jesus and come to Holy Mass and offer yourself to Him.

Advice to Virgins and Widows

Advice to Virgins and Widows

A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians 7, 25 – 35:

Now in regard to virgins I have no commandment from the Lord, but I give my opinion as one who by the Lord’s mercy is trustworthy. So this is what I think best because of the present distress: that it is a good thing for a person to remain as he is. Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek a separation. Are you free of a wife? Then do not look for a wife. If you marry, however, you do not sin, nor does an unmarried woman sin if she marries; but such people will experience affliction in their earthy life, and I would like to spare you that.
I tell you, brothers and sisters, the time is running out. From now on, let those having wives act as not having them, those weeping as not weeping, those rejoicing as not rejoicing, those buying as not owning, those using the world as not using it fully. For the world in its present form is passing away.
I should like you to be free of anxieties. An unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord. But a married man is anxious about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, and he is divided. An unmarried woman or a virgin is anxious about the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy in both body and spirit. A married woman, on the other had, is anxious about the things of the world, how she may please her husband. I am telling you this for your own benefit, not to impose a restraint upon you, but for the sake of propriety and adherence to the Lord without distraction.

It is so beautiful to see a man and a woman getting married in Church. They pledge their lives to each other until death and they will love each other for the whole of their lives. However, after receiving the Sacrament of Marriage, the Christian life does not end there. While they are living their married life every day, they should never forget that the Lord has a great role to play in their life. So first of all He calls them to pray every day. How wonderful it would be if they would pray the rosary every day and go to Holy Mass every Sunday and on other days too if it is possible. The Lord Jesus must live with them and continually bless them with all the graces and gifts they need. If they pray every day the Lord will protect them and help them every day. A married couple must never allow the evil one to come into their homes. If there are no prayers in the home, then the evil one lives there with them. In order to chase him away, they must begin to pray and he will disappear, and Jesus will return and live with them and give them His peace, love and joy.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I have called some single men and women to follow Me in the life of celibacy for ever. I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to be completely committed to Me even if some of you are married and living with your partner. There is nothing wrong for a man or a woman to marry but they need to marry in Church. You know that there are always many widows and widowers. They have lost their partners through death. They can now remain single or they can marry again. Saint Paul says that it is better to remain single and to come close to Me in a very close and intimate relationship with Me. Some of the widowers and widows can go and join a religious congregation and live a Christian life in common. In this way you will truly give your life to Me and you will be blessed. I love you all and I bless you.”

P.S. We had a nice day today but no sun and no rain nor snow.

The Life that the Lord has Assigned

November 28, 2014

The Life that the Lord has Assigned

A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians 7, 17 – 24:

Everyone should live as the Lord has assigned, just as God called each one. I give this order in all the churches. Was someone called after he had been circumcised? He should not try to undo his circumcision. Was an uncircumcised person called? He should not be circumcised. Circumcision means nothing, and uncircumcision means nothing; what matters is keeping God’s commandments. Everyone should remain in the state in which he was called.
Were you a slave when you were called? Do not be concerned but, even if you can gain your freedom, make the most of it. For the slave called in the Lord is a freed person in the Lord, just as the free person who has been called is a slave of Christ. You have been purchased at a price. Do not become slaves to human beings. Brothers and sisters, everyone should continue before God in the state in which you were called.

We had a big snowstorm last night. Nearly a foot of snow fell and the first time the snowplows were at work this morning. It snowed much this morning but only a little bit was falling in the afternoon. This is the first big snowstorm of the season. I hope though that all this snow will go away in a few days when the rain comes.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“You have all been given a mission My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who live in union with Me. Saint Paul tells you in the reading of today that we should all live as the Lord has assigned, for you all have been called. If you are called to the priesthood, then remain in the priesthood and remain celibate. If you are called to the married life, then get married and remain with your partner all the days of your life. If you are called to live alone as celibates although you are not priests or religious then follow what you have been told. Those who are celibates are not to have any sexual relations with anybody man or woman. There are some who are homosexual but if you wish to follow Me, then you are to live as celibates and go to church every day if it is possible and receive Holy Communion and then you will not commit any sin.
Some men and women are called to the religious life. They offer their lives to Me and live a celibate life in a religious community where they meet together every day for prayers and for Holy Mass. All those who are called to this way of life should be eager to follow this call and work hard to do what I have asked of them. The religious are the ones who are keeping the world going, otherwise, the world would have been destroyed long ago. I bless you all and please continue in the state in which you were called. I love you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. I pray that the sun will come out tomorrow.
