The Wedding at Cana

Dear Friends,

On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it. And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.” Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him. After this, he and his mother, his brothers, and his disciples went down to Capernaum and stayed there only a few days. (Passage from the Gospel of St. John 2:1-12)

I will celebrate Holy Mass this morning in the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at 9:30 a.m. On Thursday I celebrated Holy Mass at the Little Shrine in French for those who wish to have Mass in that language. We had a very wet day yesterday for November 11, the day that the First World War ended. But it will be sunny today.

(Below you will find the message which Our Blessed Mother gave to Father Melvin. She spoke these words:)

“I love you, My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters living in the world. You are My very special children. The day I was in Cana for a wedding with My Son Jesus, He performed His first miracle. When I was told that the wine was finished, I went to My Son and told Him the fact and I knew that He would do something. Although He said that His time had not yet come, He took My request to heart and went to the servers and asked them to fill the jars with water. When they were filled, He asked the servers to bring some of the water that had turned to wine to the headwaiter and he was amazed to taste such great wine. This was Jesus first miracle. As you see, My Son never denies Me and when you ask Me to pray for you, I go to Him with the request and He does what you want. He is always happy to do what I ask Him.

Remember, My sons and daughters, that you have a Mother in heaven who is always ready to help you. Do not be afraid to come to Me and if you ask for the right thing I will ask My Son to help you. You can be sure that He will do it. I love to pray for spiritual gifts for all of you and if you suffer, I will pray to My Son that He takes all that away. My dear children, remain always near to Jesus, My Son, and to Me, your Mother. I love you.”

Zacchaeus the Tax Collector

Zacchaeus the Tax Collector

Dear Friends,

Jesus came to Jericho and intended to pass through the town. Now a man there named Zacchaeus, who was a chief tax collector and also a wealthy man, was seeking to see who Jesus was; but he could not see him because of the crowd, for he was short in stature. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree in order to see Jesus, who was about to pass that way. When he reached the place, Jesus looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down quickly, for today I must stay at your house.” And he came down quickly and received him with joy. When they all saw this, they began to grumble, saying, “He has gone to stay at the house of a sinner.” But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, “Behold, half of my possessions, Lord, I shall give to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone I shall repay it four times over.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house because this man too is a descendant of Abraham. For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save what was lost.” (Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 19:1-10)

I celebrated Holy Mass yesterday morning at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at 9:30 a.m. I have now decided to celebrate a French Mass at the Little Shrine every Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. as there are no more Masses celebrated in French in the surrounding parishes and the French people would like at least one Mass a week in their language.

Many people are writing to me to have their loved ones, especially those who are sick or have passed away, entered in the Book of Remembrance. Many also write the names of those in their family who do not pray any more. It only cost $15.00 to have a person written in this book and those written take part in two Masses a week for a whole year and I also offer my rosary and other prayers every day for them.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:)

“I bless you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every continent of the world. You are aware that you are all sinners like this Zacchaeus whose story you find in the Bible. I went to live at his home in Jericho as I was passing through this town one day. He was converted and he followed Me for the rest of his life. I want every person in the world to have a personal contact with Me so that he or she can be converted and come and follow Me. I contact many people when they are sick and I heal many who call upon Me. Some of these people have no faith or are in a sect or do not belong to My Church. Melvin, My brother, many phone you almost every day concerning a healing and some have phoned lately about healings from cancer. They are so thankful that I have healed them through you. I ask you all to pray for all those who have no faith or who are lost in some strange sect. Pray that they will come to know Me and follow Me like this man Zacchaeus. I want the salvation of every person in the world but they need your prayers. I love you all.”

P.S. I just read very good news. A group of women in Prince Edward Island has asked the Government to allow abortions in the hospitals in PEI. Yesterday the PEI Government said a very flat no. Everything will stay as it is. Thank you, dear Mother Mary.

The Rich Official

Dear Friends,

An official asked Jesus this question, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus answered him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. You know the commandments, ‘You shall not commit adultery; you shall not kill; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; honor your father and your mother.'” And he replied, “All of these I have observed from my youth.” When Jesus heard this he said to him, “There is still one thing left for you: sell all that you have and distribute it to the poor, and you will have a treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” But when he heard this he became quite sad, for he was very rich. Jesus looked at him (now sad) and said, “How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” Those who heard this said, “Then who can be saved?” And Jesus said, “What is impossible for human beings is possible for God.” Then Peter said, “We have given up our possessions and followed you.” He said to them, “Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God who will not receive back an overabundant return in this present age and eternal life in the age to come.” (Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 18:18-30)

I went to celebrate Holy Mass and a Healing Service at St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, PEI, last evening and a good group of people attended. Prior two of us had a beautiful meal at the home of great friends. I will celebrate Holy Mass this morning at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at 9:30 a.m.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to me these words,

“I am calling you, My dear friends, especially you, My brother Melvin, and all My brothers and sisters living in every country in the world. I am calling you to come and follow Me. As I told this rich man, you will first have to follow the commandments of God. If you follow the commandments, then there will be one thing else you have to do. Give your money to the poor and come follow Me. You have the example of the Apostles who gave up everything to follow Me and all except Judas received their reward. They are now in heaven. You are not to pile up money in the banks and refuse to help those who are in need. This is not the way a follower of mine has to follow. Indeed you need some money to live but do not be attached to it and be ready to give away for good causes and to help the poor. If you do this you will receive many blessings in this world and eternal life in the next world.

I am your example. I was born in a cave in Bethlehem and I lived poor all My life. At times I did not have even a place to sleep. I slept outside together with the Apostles under the trees. Yet I was happy and I had enough food to eat most of the time. Follow Me and you will be blessed.”
