The Agony in the Garden

Dear Friends,

Then going out Jesus went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him. When he arrived at the place he said to them, “Pray that you may not undergo the test.” After withdrawing about a stone’s throw from them and kneeling, he prayed, saying, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, not my will but yours be done.” And to strengthen him an angel from heaven appeared to him. He was in such agony and he prayed so fervently that his sweat became like drops of blood falling on the ground. When he rose from prayer and returned to his disciples, he found them sleeping from grief. He said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you may not undergo the test.”(Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 22:39-46)

Yesterday morning I was at the Immaculate Conception Parish Church to concelebrate Holy Mass with the Parish Priest. He greeted those who are preparing for First Communion and the other group that are preparing for Confirmation. After the Mass, I went to the hall for lunch prepared by the Catholic Women’s League. Today I will go to the new Manor in Alberton to celebrate Holy Mass with the elderly and the sick who are living there. It will be the first Mass in the new facility but as far as I know there is no chapel there for Mass. I suppose the Mass with be celebrated in the setting room. I will have the opportunity to visit the new place, which I hear is very nice.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:)

“Come and join Me, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every part of the world, as I undergo My Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane. I used to go to this place at night to sleep with the Apostles and so on Holy Thursday we all went to this place. I did not sleep but I went forward to where there was a stone and I fell on My knees and prayed. I was filled with great fear and anxiety, as I knew that the next day I would be killed. I asked the Father to take this suffering away from Me but I said that I did not want to follow My own will but His will. My suffering was so great that I was sweating blood and an angel was sent by My Father to help Me.

My dear friends, I asked you today to take time to be with Me for I have suffered horribly to save you. Yes, I was whipped, beaten, forced to carry My cross and I fell many times on the way to the place where I was nailed to the cross and died. I accepted all this for you so that you could be saved and be with Me forever in heaven. Come, My friends, and follow Me every day and do not be afraid to carry your cross for every person has a cross to carry. Pass some time before My crucifix and see what your Lord and Savior underwent to pay the price for your sins. Now repent of your sins and I will take them away. I love you all.”

Peter’s Denial Foretold

Peter’s Denial Foretold

Dear Friends,

Jesus said to them, “… Simon, Simon, behold Satan has demanded to sift all of you like wheat, but I have prayed that your own faith may not fail; and once you have turned back, you must strengthen your brothers.” He said to him, “Lord, I am prepared to go to prison and to die with you.” But Jesus replied, “I tell you, Peter, before the cock crows this day, you will deny three times that you know me.” Jesus said to them (the Apostles), “When I sent you forth without a money bag or a sack or sandals, were you in need of anything?” “No, nothing,” they replied. He said to them, “But now one who has a money bag should take it, and likewise a sack, and one who does not have a sword should sell his cloak and buy one. For I tell you that this scripture must be fulfilled in me, namely, ‘He was counted among the wicked'; and indeed what is written about me is coming to fulfillment.” Then they said, “Lord, look, there are two swords here.” But he replied, “It is enough!” (Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 22:25a,31-38)

This morning I will go to the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, at 11:00 a.m. and I will concelebrate Holy Mass with the Parish Priest as usual. I will pray for all of you.

Yesterday I told you that I would be leaving for Montreal and Hamilton on Monday morning but this trip has been cancelled, as the person I had to see in Hamilton will be coming here on Tuesday. So I will only have to go to the airport here to get him.

I ask you all again to pray for my brother Hector as he is not improving these days. He is getting weaker and he can hardly eat. He is only 73 years old but if the situation continues, he will die soon. Thank you very much.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. He spoke to me these words:)

“I embrace you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. Indeed Satan would like you to follow him but I am praying for you that you do not fail. Alone you will surely fail but with My grace and strength you will overcome the temptations of the evil one. The Apostle Peter believed that he was ready to go to prison and even to die for Me. His problem was that he thought he could do it without My help and you know what happened. He failed miserably. You too will fail unless you ask for My help and open your heart to the graces I have for you. I have come into the world to save you and to strengthen you so that you do not fall into sin once you have accepted Me as your Savior. You must offer yourselves completely to Me and listen to My words given to you by the Bible and by My Church. Look at all the martyrs killed in the world every year. These holy people are ready to give up their lives for their love of Me instead of doing the evil they are told to do. There have been many martyrs during the Nazi domination in the 1930s and 1940s, also during the Communist era in many countries. There are martyrs almost every day. St. Peter is also a martyr, as he was crucified in Rome. Follow Me to the end and you will be saved.”

The Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper

Dear Friends,

The Betrayer

When it was evening, Jesus reclined at table with the Twelve. And while they were eating, he said, “Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” Deeply distressed at this, they began to say to him one after another, “Surely it is not I, Lord?” Jesus said in reply, “He who has dipped his hand into the dish with me is the one who will betray me. The Son of Man indeed goes, as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had never been born.” Then Judas, his betrayer, said in reply, “Surely it is not I, Rabbi?” He answered, “You have said so.”

The Lord’s Supper

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.” (Passage from the Gospel of St. Matthew 26:20-28)

I will celebrate Holy Mass this morning in the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at 9:30 a.m. This Mass will be offered in honor of Our Blessed Mother. Early Monday morning, November 21, I will leave with another man for Montreal where we will sleep Monday night and early on Tuesday morning we will leave for Hamilton, Ontario. I hope to be back on the Island by Friday evening. There will be no messages from Monday to Friday next week as I will be away.

(Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words:)

“Greetings, My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters scattered all over the world. Although I was not present at the Last Supper I know very well what happened that first Holy Thursday. At the beginning My Son announced that one of His disciples was going to betray Him. It was a shock to them but Judas knew what he had decided to do. After My Son Jesus said that it was Judas, he immediately left the room and went out. After Judas left Jesus then took bread and said these famous words, ‘This is My Body.’ Then He took the cup filled with wine and said, ‘This is My Blood of the covenant.’ By these words, Jesus consecrated the bread and wine into His Body and Blood. This is the Holy Eucharist, the Living Jesus, whom you are called to receive every Sunday and on the weekdays if you can. Have a great love for the Eucharist and come to adoration often. You all need to have a great friendship with Jesus, My Son. As your Mother, I call you to believe with all your heart that Jesus is truly present in the Holy Eucharist and He is there for each one of you. Remember the Holy Eucharist is the greatest gift you can receive today because when you receive this gift Jesus comes into your heart and lives there. I want all My sons and daughters to go to Holy Mass regularly and to receive Communion every time. Repent of all your sins. I love you.”
