Peter’s Denial Foretold

Dear Friends,

Jesus said to them, “… Simon, Simon, behold Satan has demanded to sift all of you like wheat, but I have prayed that your own faith may not fail; and once you have turned back, you must strengthen your brothers.” He said to him, “Lord, I am prepared to go to prison and to die with you.” But Jesus replied, “I tell you, Peter, before the cock crows this day, you will deny three times that you know me.” Jesus said to them (the Apostles), “When I sent you forth without a money bag or a sack or sandals, were you in need of anything?” “No, nothing,” they replied. He said to them, “But now one who has a money bag should take it, and likewise a sack, and one who does not have a sword should sell his cloak and buy one. For I tell you that this scripture must be fulfilled in me, namely, ‘He was counted among the wicked'; and indeed what is written about me is coming to fulfillment.” Then they said, “Lord, look, there are two swords here.” But he replied, “It is enough!” (Passage from the Gospel of St. Luke 22:25a,31-38)

This morning I will go to the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, at 11:00 a.m. and I will concelebrate Holy Mass with the Parish Priest as usual. I will pray for all of you.

Yesterday I told you that I would be leaving for Montreal and Hamilton on Monday morning but this trip has been cancelled, as the person I had to see in Hamilton will be coming here on Tuesday. So I will only have to go to the airport here to get him.

I ask you all again to pray for my brother Hector as he is not improving these days. He is getting weaker and he can hardly eat. He is only 73 years old but if the situation continues, he will die soon. Thank you very much.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. He spoke to me these words:)

“I embrace you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. Indeed Satan would like you to follow him but I am praying for you that you do not fail. Alone you will surely fail but with My grace and strength you will overcome the temptations of the evil one. The Apostle Peter believed that he was ready to go to prison and even to die for Me. His problem was that he thought he could do it without My help and you know what happened. He failed miserably. You too will fail unless you ask for My help and open your heart to the graces I have for you. I have come into the world to save you and to strengthen you so that you do not fall into sin once you have accepted Me as your Savior. You must offer yourselves completely to Me and listen to My words given to you by the Bible and by My Church. Look at all the martyrs killed in the world every year. These holy people are ready to give up their lives for their love of Me instead of doing the evil they are told to do. There have been many martyrs during the Nazi domination in the 1930s and 1940s, also during the Communist era in many countries. There are martyrs almost every day. St. Peter is also a martyr, as he was crucified in Rome. Follow Me to the end and you will be saved.”
