Paul Imprisoned

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Acts of the Apostles (22:22-30):

They (the Jews) listened to him until he said this, but then they raised their voices and shouted, “Take such a one as this away from the earth. It is not right that he should live.” And as they were yelling and throwing off their cloaks and flinging dust into the air, the cohort commander ordered him to be brought into the compound and gave instruction that he be interrogated under the lash to determine the reason why they were making such an outcry against him. But when they had stretched him out for the whips, Paul said to the centurion on duty, “Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman citizen and has not been tried?” When the centurion heard this, he went to the cohort commander and reported it, saying, “What are you going to do? This man is a Roman citizen.” Then the commander came and said to him, “Tell me, are you a Roman citizen?” “Yes,” he answered. The commander replied, “I acquired this citizenship for a large sum of money.” Paul said, “But I was born one.” At once those who were going to interrogate him backed away from him, and the commander became alarmed when he realized that he was a Roman citizen and that he had had him bound. The next day, wishing to determine the truth about why he was being accused by the Jews, he freed him and ordered the chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin to convene. Then he brought Paul down and made him stand before them.

I returned from the retreat in New Brunswick Sunday evening. It went very well and a good number of people attended and many were present for the Healing Mass. I rested yesterday after these three busy days. I am now awaiting the coming of Our Blessed Mother on March 25, the Feast of the Annunciation. I will have a Healing Mass at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island on Friday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. and we will pray the rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“I bless you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. Melvin, you spent three great days at the Trappist Monastery in Rogersville, New Brunswick, where you gave a retreat and prayed with the people there. I blessed all those who came to this weekend.

One who worked hard to spread the Gospel was St. Paul, my great Apostle. At the end he suffered much at the hands of the Jews. They wanted to kill him but he was protected by soldiers. However, he was to end up in Rome where he was killed at the command of the Emperor of Rome. He was taken to Rome because he was a Roman citizen. He is highly favored by Me and My Church has great respect for him. He is one of the great saints of Rome. The other is St. Peter who was also killed in Rome by being crucified to a cross like I was. I ask you all to call on these two great saints to pray for you, for the Church and for unity in the Church. I want all Christians to accept the Pope of Rome as the successor of St. Peter and the head of the Church approved by Me. I love you all.

Paul’s Arrest

Paul’s Arrest

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Acts of the Apostles (21: 27-36):

When the seven days were nearly completed, the Jews from the province of Asia noticed him (St. Paul) in the temple, stirred up the whole crowd, and laid hands on him, shouting, “Fellow Israelites, help us. This is the man who is teaching everyone everywhere against the people and the law and this place, and what is more, he has even brought Greeks into the temple and defiled this sacred place.” For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him and supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple. The whole city was in turmoil with people rushing together. They seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple, and immediately the gates were closed. While they were trying to kill him, a report reached the cohort commander that all Jerusalem was rioting. He immediately took soldiers and centurions and charged down on them. When they saw the commander and the soldiers they stopped beating Paul. The cohort commander came forward, arrested him, and ordered him to be secured with two chains; he tried to find out who he might be and what he had done. Some in the mob shouted one thing, others something else; so, since he was unable to ascertain the truth because of the uproar, he ordered Paul to be brought into the compound. When he reached the steps, he was carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the mob, for a crowd of people followed and shouted, “Away with him!”

I will leave tomorrow for Rogersville, N.B., to give a three-day retreat starting on Friday, March 16 at 6:30 p.m. I will finish on Sunday at noon. Everyone is welcome. There will be no message until I return.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“I bless you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters scattered throughout the world. So many who are My followers have to suffer. St. Paul, a great apostle, suffered much especially at the hands of the Jewish people. When he was in the temple in Jerusalem for the last time, people accused him of teaching against the Jewish religion and that he had allowed some Gentiles to enter the temple. So they attacked him, beat him and they wanted to kill him. He was saved by the commander and his soldiers who brought him to their compound. If the soldiers had not come, Paul would have been killed.

Today there are many who suffer because of their faith in Me. The persecution will soon start in North America, in Europe and in other continents too. However, do not be afraid. I am there to help you. I was there to help St. Paul when he was attacked. I will help you too. However, some will be martyred as it was in the past. Every year there are some of My followers who are killed, just like I was, without committing anything wrong. Remember, I love you and I am there to strengthen you and to give you My love, My peace and My joy.

Paul and James in Jerusalem

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Acts of the Apostles 21:15-26):

After these days we made preparations for our journey, then went up to Jerusalem. Some of the disciples from Caesarea came along to lead us to the house of Mnason, a Cypriot, a disciple of long standing, with whom we were to stay. When we reached Jerusalem the brothers welcomed us warmly. The next day, Paul accompanied us on a visit to James, and all the presbyters were present. He greeted them, then proceeded to tell them in detail what God had accomplished among the Gentiles through his ministry. They praised God when they heard it but said to him, “Brother, you see how many thousands of believers there are from among the Jews, and they are all zealous observers of the law. They have been informed that you are teaching all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to abandon Moses and that you are telling them not to circumcise their children or to observe their customary practices. What is to be done? They will surely hear that you have arrived. So do what we tell you. We have four men who have taken a vow. Take these men and purify yourself with them, and pay their expenses that they may have their heads shaved. In this way everyone will know that there is nothing to the reports they have been given about you but that you yourself live in observance of the law. As for the Gentiles who have come to believe, we sent them our decision that they abstain from meat sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals, and from unlawful marriage.” So Paul took the men, and on the next day after purifying himself together with them entered the temple to give notice of the day when the purification would be completed and the offering made for each of them.

I went for an hour of Eucharistic Adoration last evening from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It was a great and wonderful hour with Jesus who spoke to me for half an hour. This morning I will celebrate Holy Mass at the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at 9:30 a.m.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“I fill you with My grace, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. You need My help if you are to advance in holiness every day. I used to go to Jerusalem at least once a year for the great celebration and it was My joy to go to the temple and pray to My Father. I loved to spend time with Him every day. When St. Paul was in Jerusalem, they attacked him because of the decision of the church to do away with the Mosaic Law and especially with circumcision. St. Paul suffered much because of this and finally was beheaded in Rome.

I want all of you, My friends, to follow the teachings of My Church and do not fear what the people who have no faith will say against you. Continue to oppose abortion, euthanasia, stem cell research, same sex marriage and everything that goes against the Commandments of God. If you do so, indeed you are My followers. I love you all.”
