St. Paul on Trial before Felix

Dear Friends,

A passage from the Acts of the Apostles (24:1-16):

Five days later the high priest Ananias came down with some elders and an advocate, a certain Tertullus, and they presented formal charges against Paul to the governor. When he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, “Since we have attained much peace through you, and reforms have been accomplished in this nation through your provident care, we acknowledge this in every way and everywhere, most excellent Felix, with all gratitude. But in order not to detain you further, I ask you to give us a brief hearing with your customary graciousness. We found this man to be a pest; he creates dissension among Jews all over the world and is a ringleader of the sect of the Nazoreans. He even tried to desecrate our temple, but we arrested him. If you examine him you will be able to learn from him for yourself about everything of which we are accusing him.” The Jews also joined in the attack and asserted that these things were so. Then the governor motioned to him to speak and Paul replied, “I know that you have been a judge over this nation for many years and so I am pleased to make my defense before you. As you can verify, not more than twelve days have passed since I went up to Jerusalem to worship. Neither in the temple, nor in the synagogues, nor anywhere in the city did they find me arguing with anyone or instigating a riot among the people. Nor can they prove to you the accusations they are now making against me. But this I do admit to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect, I worship the God of our ancestors and I believe everything that is in accordance with the law and written in the prophets. I have the same hope in God as they themselves have that there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. Because of this, I always strive to keep my conscience clear before God and man.

I concelebrated Holy Mass yesterday morning with the Parish Priest at our parish church. Today begins the 40 hours of adoration at our church and I will go there this afternoon.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“Do not be afraid, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters, when people accuse you falsely. They accused Me falsely and they also accused falsely St. Paul, My great Apostle. Do not be afraid because I know the truth and these false accusations will condemn the perpetrators who are working for Satan.

Many of My followers have been dragged before courts and all kinds of lies were said against them. Some were condemned unjustly as they had not done anything wrong. It is those who suffer unjustly who will receive a high place in heaven for indeed they have followed Me very closely.

I urge you all to follow the commandments so that you will not be accused for doing evil. Do not do anything wrong but do what is right. You need to strive for holiness every day. Come to Me every day and spend time with Me in contemplation. You will receive great gifts and strength to do always what is right. I bless you all.”

The Announcement of the Birth of Jesus to Mary

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Gospel of St. Luke (1:26-38):

In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, “Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.” But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” But Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?” And the angel said to her in reply, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God.” Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.

Today is the Feast of the Annunciation to Mary of the birth of Jesus, the Son of God. The church here will celebrate this feast on Monday because it is the season of Lent. However, the date given by the Church for the Annunciation is March 25, nine months before Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem.

(Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words.)

“Rejoice, My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters spread all over the world, because today is the Feast of the Annunciation when the Angel Gabriel came to visit Me and told Me that I would become the Mother of Jesus, the Son of God and the Messiah, the Savior of the world. He greeted Me by telling Me these words, ‘Hail full of grace.’ I am indeed the Immaculate Conception and full of grace. I was chosen before I was born to be the Mother of the Son of God. Now with the Angel Gabriel I became aware that indeed I was chosen to give birth to the Messiah. After My question, he explained to Me how this would come about. I would conceive through the power of the Holy Spirit. After My question was answered I gave My ‘yes’, My fiat. At that time I conceived the child Jesus in My womb. Through a great miracle I was able to give birth to Jesus nine months later although I did not have any relations with a man.

I call you, My sons and daughters, to believe in this great event of the Annunciation by which the Savior of the world was able to come into the world as a human being. Indeed He has a Divine nature but He received His human nature from Me, His Mother. He came to suffer and to die on the cross for your salvation. He loves you all and I love you too.”

The Way of the Cross

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Gospel of St. Luke (23:26-32):

As they led Jesus away they took hold of a certain Simon, a Cyrenian, who was coming in from the country; and after laying the cross on him, they made him carry it behind Jesus. A large crowd of people followed Jesus, including many women who mourned and lamented him. Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep instead for yourselves and for your children, for indeed, the days are coming when people will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed.’ At that time people will say to the mountains, ‘Fall upon us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’ for if these things are done when the wood is green what will happen when it is dry?” Now two others, both criminals, were led away with him to be executed.

Last evening I went to our parish church for the Way of the Cross and for Holy Mass. A good group of people attended. Next Friday, March 30, I will celebrate a Healing Mass at the Little Shrine of Our Lady. We will start with the rosary at 7:00 p.m. and it will be followed by Holy Mass at 7:30 p.m.

We know from the Way of the Cross that Jesus met His Blessed Mother along the Via Dolorosa. She was very sorrowful to see Her Son suffering so much and falling from the weight of the cross.

(Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother Mary given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words.)

“I am praying for you, My dear son Melvin and all My sons and daughters, who believe in My Son, Jesus, and follow Him every day. You know I followed My Son during the Way of the Cross and I met Him at one place. It was great pain for Me to see Him suffering so much. His face was covered with blood and I could see the soldiers beating Him. Although He fell three times, He got up and continued to walk along and for most of the time He carried the heavy cross. He could still teach the people as He went on His way to His crucifixion.

My dear children, open your hearts to your Savior so you can receive the graces and the strength to follow the way He traced out for you. I bless you.”
