More on Judas’ Betrayal

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Gospel of St. Matthew (26:14-25):

One of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, What will you give me if I betray him to you? They paid him thirty pierces of silver. And from that moment he began to look for an opportunity to betray him. On the first day of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Where do you want us to make the preparations for you to eat the Passover? He said, Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, My time is near; I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.’ So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the Passover meal. When it was evening, Jesus took his place with the twelve; and while they were eating, he said, Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me. And they became greatly distressed and began to say to him one after another, Surely not I, Lord? He answered, The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me. The Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that one by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that one not to have been born. Judas, who betrayed him, said, Surely not I, Rabbi? Jesus replied, You have said so.

I will celebrate Holy Mass this morning in the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island at 9:30 a.m. Today is the day before the beginning of the Triduum, the three Holy Days to Easter. We are to prepare very well for these special days and spend much time with Jesus, Our Lord and Our Savior.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

I love you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in the world today, and I want a special relationship with you all. I want you all to come to know Me personally as your Friend who loves to spend time with you every day. How important it is to come to prayer every day.

How shocking it was for the other Apostles to learn that Judas had betrayed Me for some money. He agreed to lead the Jewish group to Me in the Garden of Gethsemane to arrest Me knowing that they wanted to kill Me. What makes it so terrible is that he was supposed to be My friend. He decided to follow the devil and to hand over His Savior to condemnation and death on the cross. However, I used My Passion and death as the means to bring salvation to all those who believe in Me. This was My great sacrifice, which I offered to My Father to pay the price for your sins. I willingly accepted to do this for each one of you. I love you all.

The Announcement of Judas’ Betrayal

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Gospel of St. John (13: 21b-30):

Jesus was deeply troubled and testified, “Amen, amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” The disciples looked at one another, at a loss as to whom he meant. One of his disciples, the one whom Jesus loved, was reclining at Jesus’ side. So Simon Peter nodded to him to find out whom he meant. He leaned back against Jesus’ chest and said to him, “Master, who is it?” Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I hand the morsel after I have dipped it.” So he dipped the morsel and took it and handed it to Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot. After he took the morsel, Satan entered him. So Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly.” Now none of those reclining at table realized why he said this to him. Some thought that since Judas kept the money bag, Jesus had told him, “Buy what we need for the feast,” or to give something to the poor. So he took the morsel and left at once. And it was night.

I will mail all the newsletters today, those in English and those in French. I hope that the words of Our Blessed Mother will touch you all. She loves you and She is praying for you. She is asking us to follow Her Son, Jesus, and to be an active member of the Church. It is those who pray regularly and go to Holy Mass at least every Sunday that are blessed and receive the strength they need to live in close union with Jesus.

I am praying for all of you that the Lord blesses you in a special way at Easter, so He wants you to go to church from Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words):

I bless you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters scattered over the whole earth in every country of the world. When I was on earth, I had 12 special friends whom I called My Apostles. They traveled with Me everywhere for three years. They saw all the miracles I performed from healing the sick, raising the dead, calming the storm on the sea, walking on the water, the transfiguration and many others. After all this, can you imagine that one of them betrayed Me. Yes, this was Judas Iscariot whom I wanted as My dear friend and Apostle. Yet he sold Me to the Jewish authorities for thirty pieces of silver. It was at the Last Supper that I made it known to the others what Judas was planning. He left before I had instituted the Holy Eucharist. He did not take part in this great sacrament. After he betrayed Me, he did not repent but instead went and committed suicide. It would have been better if this man had never been born.

I call you all, My dear friends, to remain with Me and to be conscious of the fact that the evil one is there and he is trying to get you to reject Me and to follow him. Be on the alert at all times and give Me your whole being especially your heart and your will every day, so I can fill you with the graces you need and the strength to overcome any obstacle. Never forget that I am your only Savior. I love you.

The Anointing of Jesus

The Anointing of Jesus

Dear Friends,

Please read this passage from the Gospel of St. John (12:1-11):

Six days before the Passover Jesus came to Bethany, the home of Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. There they gave a dinner for him. Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those at the table with him. Mary took a pound of costly perfume oil made of pure nard, anointed Jesus’ feet, and wiped them with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was about to betray him), said, Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred pence and the money given to the poor? “ He said this not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief; he kept the common purse and used to steal what was put into it.) Jesus said, Leave her alone. She bought it so that she might keep it for the day of my burial. You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me. When the great crowd of the Jews learned that he was there, they came not only because of Jesus but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. So the chief priests planned to put Lazarus to death as well, since it was on account of him that many of the Jews were deserting and were believing in Jesus.

I was at our Parish Church at Palmer Road yesterday morning for the beginning of Holy Week and the priest blessed the palms. Three people read the Passion of Christ at the time of the Gospel. I concelebrated Holy Mass with the Parish Priest. We will be busy this week and we will be in church every day from Thursday until Sunday. I am praying that the Lord will give us all a special blessing on Easter Sunday.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words):

Be with Me this week, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who accept Me as your Savior. This was the week I accomplished the work that My Heavenly Father sent Me to do. Already Mary Magdalene anointed My feet and this was the only anointing I received. She was preparing Me for My burial. Of course Judas objected that this expensive perfume should be used in this way. His objection was not valid because he was a thief.

Come, My dear friends, and read the passages that deal with My last days on earth before My death on the cross. I knew very well what was to happen to Me but I came on earth not to do My own will but the will of My Father in heaven. I also want all of you to offer yourselves totally to the Father as I did. You are here to imitate Me by doing the will of the Father every day. If you suffer anything, offer it up to the Father and to Me for the conversion of the people of the world. Your suffering offered to the Father with My suffering is very effective in bringing many people to believe in Me and follow Me. I bless you all.
