The Burial of Jesus

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Gospel of St. Luke (23:50-56):

Now there was a virtuous and righteous man named Joseph who, though he was a member of the council, had not consented to their plan of action. He came from the Jewish town of Arimathea and was awaiting the kingdom of God. He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. After he had taken the body down, he wrapped it in a linen cloth and laid him in a rock-hewn tomb in which no one had yet been buried. It was the day of preparation, and the Sabbath was about to begin. The women who had come from Galilee with him followed behind, and when they had seen the tomb and the way in which his body was laid in it, they returned and prepared spices and perfumed oils. Then they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.

I assisted the parish priest at the Immaculate Conception Parish, Palmer Road, yesterday during the Service for Good Friday. The church was full and the service lasted almost two hours. I will return to the same parish this evening at 9:00 p.m. for the Easter Vigil and the celebration of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus. Yesterday I spent two hours living the Passion with Our Savior.

(Below you will find the message of Our Dear Mother Mary given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words.)

“I bless you, My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters spread throughout the world. The first Holy Saturday I spent in mourning as I remembered how My Son, Jesus, was crucified and killed on the cross and how He spent the whole of Holy Saturday in the tomb. I came to the tomb on that day and I wept for Jesus is My Son and I loved Him with all My heart. Spend time today in spirit with Jesus in the tomb and understand that all He suffered was for your salvation. What a tremendous gift He gave you by dying to take away your sins. You should have been killed on the cross because you have offended God who is all good. Instead My Son, Jesus, took your place and died for you. Thank Him today for all that He did for you. Be in great hope because tomorrow is Easter, the great day of His resurrection. I am your Mother who loves you.”

The Crucifixion of Jesus

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Gospel of St. John (19:16-30):

Then Pilate handed Jesus over to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus, and carrying the Cross by himself, he went out to what is called The Place of the Skull, which in Hebrew is called Golgotha. There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, with Jesus between them. Pilate also had an inscription written and put on the Cross. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.” Many of the people read this inscription, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin and in Greek. Then the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but ‘This man said, I am King of the Jews.’” Pilate answered, “What I have written I have written. When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his clothes and divided them into four parts, one for each soldier. They also took his tunic, now the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from the top. So they said to one another. “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see who will get it. This was to fulfill what the Scripture says, “They divided my clothes among themselves, and for my clothing they cast lots.” And that is what the soldiers did. Meanwhile standing near the Cross of Jesus were his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing beside her, he said to his mother, “Woman here is your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his own home. After this, when Jesus knew that all was now finished, in order to fulfill the Scripture he said, “I am thirsty.” A jar full of sour wine was standing there. So they put a sponge full of the wine on a branch of hyssop and held it to his mouth. When Jesus had received the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:)

“Come, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters, near My Cross as I die for your salvation. My Mother is also near My Cross with My beloved Apostle and My last words spoken directly to a person were addressed to My Mother and to St. John. I gave Her to St. John and to all believers to be their Mother for She suffered much together with Me for your salvation. You know that I was nailed to the Cross and the pain was excruciating. I offered My sacrifice to My Heavenly Father to atone for your sins so that you could be saved and one day be with Me in heaven. My death on the Cross was an act of love for each one of you. Contemplate Me on the cross today, Good Friday, and offer yourselves totally to Me to do the will of the Father. Reject Satan and all his lies and temptations and remain close to Me, your Savior. Repent of all your sins. I love you and I will never abandon you. Come and be part of My Church and you will be blessed. I gave My life out of love for you.”

The Last Supper

The Last Supper

Dear Friends,

Please read this passage from St. Paul’s First Epistle to the Corinthians (1 Cor 11:23-26):

I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lords death until he comes.

We now have reached the Triduum, the three Holy Days of Holy Week. Today we remember the Last Supper that Jesus had with his apostles. It was during the last supper that he instituted the Holy Eucharist. This is the great sacrament of His Body and Blood.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words):

Come and contemplate the Last Supper, My dear brother Melvin and all My dear brothers and sisters who believe in Me and receive the Holy Eucharist at least every Sunday. I instituted the Eucharist just before My Passion. I knew I had to leave you shortly so by the institution of the Eucharist, I was able to stay among you in a special way. Believe, My dear friends, that I am truly present in the hosts and in the chalice. I am present there alive as I live now at the right hand of My Heavenly Father. Although you cannot see Me with your eyes, you are to believe in My real presence. I wanted to stay with you in a special way and so I am in the Holy Eucharist and I come into your heart every time you come to receive Me. I am closer to you now than any other human being, because I live in your very being. I am part of you. Come to receive Me with a pure heart, which means that you have repented of all your sins. I am very pleased too with the adoration going on in many parishes today. Those who come to adore Me in the Holy Eucharist are blessed indeed. I love you all.
