The Burial of Jesus

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Gospel of St. Luke (23:50-56):

Now there was a virtuous and righteous man named Joseph who, though he was a member of the council, had not consented to their plan of action. He came from the Jewish town of Arimathea and was awaiting the kingdom of God. He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. After he had taken the body down, he wrapped it in a linen cloth and laid him in a rock-hewn tomb in which no one had yet been buried. It was the day of preparation, and the Sabbath was about to begin. The women who had come from Galilee with him followed behind, and when they had seen the tomb and the way in which his body was laid in it, they returned and prepared spices and perfumed oils. Then they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.

I assisted the parish priest at the Immaculate Conception Parish, Palmer Road, yesterday during the Service for Good Friday. The church was full and the service lasted almost two hours. I will return to the same parish this evening at 9:00 p.m. for the Easter Vigil and the celebration of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus. Yesterday I spent two hours living the Passion with Our Savior.

(Below you will find the message of Our Dear Mother Mary given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words.)

“I bless you, My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters spread throughout the world. The first Holy Saturday I spent in mourning as I remembered how My Son, Jesus, was crucified and killed on the cross and how He spent the whole of Holy Saturday in the tomb. I came to the tomb on that day and I wept for Jesus is My Son and I loved Him with all My heart. Spend time today in spirit with Jesus in the tomb and understand that all He suffered was for your salvation. What a tremendous gift He gave you by dying to take away your sins. You should have been killed on the cross because you have offended God who is all good. Instead My Son, Jesus, took your place and died for you. Thank Him today for all that He did for you. Be in great hope because tomorrow is Easter, the great day of His resurrection. I am your Mother who loves you.”

the Loed… He is very good in all phases of the trades but he is a holy fellow who
wants to do something for the Lord. What about your contemplative mens order ?
