The Coming of the Spirit

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Acts of the Apostles (2:1-13):

When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues,  as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven staying in Jerusalem. At this sound, they gathered in a large crowd, but they were confused because each one heard them speaking in his own language. They were astounded, and in amazement they asked, “Are not all these people who are speaking Galileans? Then how does each of us hear them in his own native language? We are Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya near Cyrene, as well as travelers from Rome, both Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs, yet we hear them speaking in our own tongues of the mighty acts of God.” They were all astounded and bewildered, and said to one another, “What does this mean?” But others said, scoffing, “They have had too much new wine.”

Today is the great Feast of Pentecost, the day of the Holy Spirit. Let us celebrate this day with great solemnity. It is the birth of the Church and the Apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit for the first time in the history of the world. It was the tenth day after Jesus ascended into heaven on the Ascension. Let us thank the Lord for this great happening.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,)

“May the blessings of the Holy Spirit fill you, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every part of the world. It is Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles. I had told the Apostles to wait and pray in Jerusalem for the coming of the Holy Spirit. They were all united in the Upper Room the place where I celebrated the Holy Eucharist during the Last Supper. The Holy Spirit came upon them and filled them all with great joy and all spoke in various tongues about the glory of God. Many people gathered outside when they heard the wind and Peter went out to speak to them and you know that about 3,000 people were baptized that day.

My dear friends, open your hearts today to receive again the Holy Spirit. He will come with His power to fill you and give you great joy. Your faith will be strengthened and your love for Me will be much stronger. The Holy Spirit comes to give you new life and fill you with His light. Follow Him and He will lead you to the path that leads you to your heavenly home. He is the sanctifier who will make you holy. Thank the Holy Spirit for what He has done for you and ask for His help every day. I bless you all.”

The Wedding at Cana

The Wedding at Cana

Dear Friends,

Please read the passage below from the Gospel of St. John (2:1-12):

On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it. And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.” Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him. After this, he and his mother, his brothers, and his disciples went down to Capernaum and stayed there only a few days.

I went fishing trout yesterday morning with a friend and together we caught nearly twenty trout; so I had a great trout meal last evening. It was very good. I hope to go fishing about once a week during the summer. It was nice and warm yesterday but we will have some rain today.

(Below you will find the message from Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. Our Lady spoke to him these words,)

“I bless you, My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters living in every country of the world. Have trust in Me, your Mother. If you pray to Me for something you truly need, I will ask My Son, Jesus, and He will give it to you. Remember what happened at the Wedding Feast at Cana in Galilee. The people came to Me during the Wedding Celebration to tell me that they had run out of wine. So I immediately went to My Son, Jesus, and told Him the problem the organizers had. Then I went to tell the servers to do what Jesus would tell them. Jesus went and told them to fill the jars with water and they did. Then He told one of them to take a glassful from one of those jars and bring it to the headwaiter. When he tasted it he found that it was the best wine so far. Jesus brought about this miracle at My request. He loves Me with all His heart and He can never say ‘no’ to His Mother. So you too come to Me and I will intercede for you. I love you all, My children, and I want you all close to My Son and to follow all that He has taught you. If you follow My Son, Jesus, you will surely be saved. On the day you will leave the earth, Jesus and I will be there to bring you to your heavenly home with us. You are all very dear to Jesus and to Me.”

Freedom from Sin; Life in God

Freedom from Sin; Life in God

Dear Friends,

Please read these words of St. Paul in his Letter to the Romans (6:1-14):

What then shall we say? Shall we persist in sin that grace may abound? Of course not! How can we who died to sin yet live in it. Or are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life. For if we have grown into union with him through a death like his, we shall also be united with him in the resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be done away with, that we might no longer be in slavery to sin. For a dead person has been absolved from sin. If, then, we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him. We know that Christ, raised from the dead, dies no more; death no longer has power over him. As to his death, he died to sin once and for all; as to his life, he lives for God. Consequently, you too must think of yourselves as being dead to sin and living for God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, sin must not reign over your mortal bodies so that you obey their desires. And do not present the parts of your bodies to sin as weapons for wickedness, but present yourselves to God as raised from the dead to life and the parts of your bodies to God as weapons for righteousness. For sin is not to have any power over you, since you are not under the law but under grace.

I thank the Lord for the beautiful day we had again yesterday. It reached up to 20 degrees Celsius. We should have another fine day today. I am leaving now to go trout fishing with a friend of mine. I hope we can catch some for our supper this evening.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,)

“Be filled with My graces, My dear brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters spread over the whole world. I won all those graces for you by My death on the cross. Come close to Me and repent of all your sins and reject your old life of sin and live now with Me as a new person. Remember that your old self was crucified with Me when you were baptized so now live the new life that comes from My resurrection. With the power of the Holy Spirit filling you completely do not go back to your former ways but take up the new way of love, forgiveness and the following of all the commandments of God. I call you all to live a moral life like I did when I was on earth. So if you live with Me, you will be free from sin. If any temptation should come upon you, immediately call on Me for help and I will be there to help you. I call upon you to practice patience with every person you meet. Even if that person should be offensive to you, do not react in anger but remember that I was always patient with every person. In this way you will imitate Me. I love you and bless you.”
