Jesus is Betrayed and Arrested

Dear friends,
A reading from St. Mark’s Gospel (14:43-52):

          Then, while he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs who had come from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders. His betrayer had arranged a signal with them, saying, “The man I shall kiss is the one; arrest him and lead him away securely.” He came and immediately went over to him and said, “Rabbi.” And he kissed him. At this they laid hands on him and arrested him. One of the bystanders drew his sword, struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his ear. Jesus said to them in reply, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs, to seize me? Day after day I was with you teaching in the temple area, yet you did not arrest me; but that the scriptures may be fulfilled.” And they all left him and fled. Now a young man followed him wearing nothing but a linen cloth about his body. They seized him, but he left the cloth behind and ran off naked.

          The Pope proclaimed in October the Year of Faith. This is a year that all have to pray for an increase of faith. Let us pray for the conversion of all those who do not believe and let us witness by our prayers and actions that we are followers of Jesus, Our Lord and Our Savior. “I love you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. An Apostle of mine, Judas, who had been with Me for three years and he had seen all the miracles I had performed and listened to all my conferences. Yet he turned against Me and betrayed Me to the chief priests, scribes and the elders. How important it is to remain faithful to Me every day. If I was living today there are many in the world who would do the very same thing that the leaders of the Jews did to Me. How many insult Me today and refuse to follow Me. They prefer to follow the evil one than to listen to the One sent by God the Father to lead you along the right path. Come My dear friends and read the Bible and believe what is written there and act as followers of mine. Be a full member of My Church, repent of your sins and come and receive me in Holy Communion regularly. I bless you all.”

The Agony in the Garden

Dear friends,
A reading from St. Mark’s Gospel (14:32-42):

          Then they came to a place named Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be troubled and distressed. Then he said to them, “My soul is sorrowful even to death. Remain here and keep watch.” He advanced a little and fell to the ground and prayed that if it were possible the hour might pass by him; he said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Take this cup away from me, but not what I will but what you will.” When he returned he found them asleep. He said to Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? Watch and pray that you may not undergo the test. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.” Withdrawing again, he prayed, saying the same thing. Then he returned once more and found them asleep, for they could not keep their eyes open and did not know what to answer him. He returned a third time and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? It is enough. The hour has come. Behold, the Son of Man is to be handed over to sinners. Get up, let us go. See, my betrayer is at hand.”

“Come, especially during the time when the Church is celebrating the end of the Calendar Year, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters scattered on the face of the earth. You know that I spent hours in agony in the Garden of Gethsemane while the Apostles were sleeping. I suffered much there and it showed by the fact that I sweated blood. Yet the Apostles were not aware of what was to happen that night. That was the night I was arrested through the work of the traitor Judas and brought to court and condemned to death. I call you all My friends to spend time contemplating My Passion. I suffered horribly during that night and of course the next day Friday. I suffered all that for each one of you. I paid the price for your sins so that heaven could be opened and one day you could come and join Me in eternal bliss. I bless you all.”

Peter’s Denial Foretold

A reading from St. Mark’s Gospel (14:27-31):

          Then Jesus said to [the Apostles], “All of you will have your faith shaken, for it is written: ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be dispersed.’ But after I have been raised up, I shall go before you to Galilee.” Peter said to him, “Even though all should have their faith shaken, mine will not be.” Then Jesus said to him, “Amen, I say to you, this very night before the cock crows twice you will deny me three times.” But he vehemently replied, “Even though I should have to die with you, I will not deny you.” And they all spoke similarly.

However, he repented of what he did and I forgave him. He never did anything like this afterwards. You do not understand fully how hurt I am when you commit sin. Because of your sins, I relive My Passion and Death all over again. I call you My brothers and sisters to call upon Me every day for the graces and strength you need to avoid sin and to follow Me. Sin as you know is an offence against God who created you and who keeps you alive every day. You must walk with Me and do what I tell you and not what the world tells you. The world often follows the path of the evil one. Those who follow Me do what is right and good, and they will be blessed and be filled with peace. I love you all.”
