Jesus is Betrayed and Arrested

Dear friends,
A reading from St. Mark’s Gospel (14:43-52):

Then, while he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs who had come from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders. His betrayer had arranged a signal with them, saying, “The man I shall kiss is the one; arrest him and lead him away securely.” He came and immediately went over to him and said, “Rabbi.” And he kissed him. At this they laid hands on him and arrested him. One of the bystanders drew his sword, struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his ear. Jesus said to them in reply, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs, to seize me? Day after day I was with you teaching in the temple area, yet you did not arrest me; but that the scriptures may be fulfilled.” And they all left him and fled. Now a young man followed him wearing nothing but a linen cloth about his body. They seized him, but he left the cloth behind and ran off naked.

The Pope proclaimed in October the Year of Faith. This is a year that all have to pray for an increase of faith. Let us pray for the conversion of all those who do not believe and let us witness by our prayers and actions that we are followers of Jesus, Our Lord and Our Savior. I thank all those who have sent me a donation during the last few weeks. May the Lord bless you.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Friend given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:
“I love you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every country of the world. An Apostle of mine, Judas, who had been with Me for three years and he had seen all the miracles I had performed and listened to all my conferences. Yet he turned against Me and betrayed Me to the chief priests, scribes and the elders. How important it is to remain faithful to Me every day. If I was living today there are many in the world who would do the very same thing that the leaders of the Jews did to Me. How many insult Me today and refuse to follow Me. They prefer to follow the evil one than to listen to the One sent by God the Father to lead you along the right path. Come My dear friends and read the Bible and believe what is written there and act as followers of mine. Be a full member of My Church, repent of your sins and come and receive me in Holy Communion regularly. I bless you all.”
