The Question about Fasting

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (
5, 33 – 39):
And they said to [Jesus], “The disciples of John fast often and offer prayers, and the disciples of the Pharisees do the same; but yours eat and drink.” Jesus answered them, “Can you make the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, and when the bridegroom is taken away from them, then they will fast in those days.”
And he also told them a parable. “No one tears a piece from a new cloak to patch an old one. Otherwise, he will tear the new and the piece from it will not match the old cloak. Likewise, no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be ruined. Rather, new wine must be poured into fresh wineskins. And no one who has been drinking old wine desires new, for he says, ‘The old is good.’

The Families of Jesus: The couples will freely apply to join and undergo a probation period before being accepted as full members. To become members, they will make a promise to God to be faithful to the Constitution and live up to the obligations of membership. They are expected to attend church regularly and support their parish. They will work hard to bring about the “civilization of love”. They will fight the immorality of the times such as euthanasia, abortion, the contraception mentality, same sex marriage, cohabitation, and all evils against marriage. Other issues they may be involved in include human rights, justice for all, and a better political, social and economic order. They will also give of their time to help the poor, the sick, the elderly and the less fortunate in their communities.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to open your hearts to Me. You have to understand that all My followers will have to fast at times. Fasting is very important for you because it will help you to control your appetites. We have an appetite for eating and we have an appetite for pleasure and for fulfillment of our human desires. It order to keep all these appetites in check, we need to fast from eating full meals at times. Fasting means you eat only bread and drink water. I would like every Catholic to fast every Friday because it is the day I died for your salvation. If you do this, you will be able to control your desires with My graces. There is a season for fasting and this season is called Lent, but one can fast at any time of the year. I assure you that fasting will bring you closer to Me. I love you all and bless you.”

The Wedding at Cana

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. John’s Gospel (2:1-11):

On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.”
His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it.
And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.”
Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him.

The members of the Families for Jesus commit themselves to Jesus who is their friend and God in a very special way in his covenant community. They will be supported by other Christian couples and by the Church established by Our Lord. They will live their married life with Jesus who will be a member of their family. Certain ceremonies will be carried out to bring this about in every home. Their home will become the domestic Church, which has existed since the beginning of the Church. Let every Catholic home be a place of love, peace and holiness where Jesus dwells and where all members of the family live in His presence.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,
I bless you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters spread throughout the world. Jesus and I were present at the Wedding Feast of Cana. The servers came to me to tell me that they had no more wine. I went to My Son Jesus and told Him what they had told me. I then told the servers to do whatever Jesus would tell them. He asked the servers to fill the large jars with water and then told one of the servers to bring a glass of wine to the headwaiter. He did and the waiter was amazed. The wine was so good. This is my duty to go to My Son Jesus and ask Him for what you need. He always listens to Me. I am your Mother who loves you and I want to help you on your way to heaven. Follow your Savior and you will reach your goal. I love you all.

The Cleansing of a Leper

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. Luke’s Gospel (5:12-16):

Now there was a man full of leprosy in one of the towns where he was; and when he saw Jesus, he fell prostrate, pleaded with him, and said, “Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.” Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, “I do will it. Be made clean.” And the leprosy left him immediately. Then he ordered him not to tell anyone, but “Go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them.” The report about him spread all the more, and great crowds assembled to listen to him and to be cured of their ailments, but he would withdraw to deserted places to pray.

The Families for Jesus will be a fundamental organization in the Church for Christian couples (husband and wife together) who have received the sacrament of holy Matrimony and are faithful to their vows. As matrimony is a covenant between two people who form a community, their union is a Christian covenant community. Wherever a couple of the organization is present, the community is there. However, we will refer to them as the “Families for Jesus,” since Jesus Himself revealed this name to me.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Messiah given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to believe that I am the great healer. I healed many, many people when I was on earth. I healed them from all kinds of diseases and one of My healings was the cleansing of a leper. Leprosy is a horrible disease and it destroys the flesh of a person. In Israel during My life there, there were many lepers and I cured many of them. I compare leprosy to the spiritual result of mortal sin. When a person sins grievously he or she is covered all over with a spiritual disease. Only God can remove this spiritual sickness if the person repents of his or her sin(s). You are now approaching My great Feast of Christmas so I want you all to repent of all your sins and to receive the Sacrament of Penance or ReconciliationThen I will come and dwell in you and you will be in spiritual good health. I bless you all.
