The Wedding at Cana

Dear Friends,
A reading from St. John’s Gospel (2:1-11):

On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.”
His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it.
And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.”
Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him.

The members of the Families for Jesus commit themselves to Jesus who is their friend and God in a very special way in his covenant community. They will be supported by other Christian couples and by the Church established by Our Lord. They will live their married life with Jesus who will be a member of their family. Certain ceremonies will be carried out to bring this about in every home. Their home will become the domestic Church, which has existed since the beginning of the Church. Let every Catholic home be a place of love, peace and holiness where Jesus dwells and where all members of the family live in His presence.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,
I bless you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters spread throughout the world. Jesus and I were present at the Wedding Feast of Cana. The servers came to me to tell me that they had no more wine. I went to My Son Jesus and told Him what they had told me. I then told the servers to do whatever Jesus would tell them. He asked the servers to fill the large jars with water and then told one of the servers to bring a glass of wine to the headwaiter. He did and the waiter was amazed. The wine was so good. This is my duty to go to My Son Jesus and ask Him for what you need. He always listens to Me. I am your Mother who loves you and I want to help you on your way to heaven. Follow your Savior and you will reach your goal. I love you all.
