Jesus’ Mother at the Foot of the Cross

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 19, 25 – 27:

Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary, the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold your son.” Then he said to his disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

Today is the day after the funeral of Leo Bernard, my brother-in-law. I will remember him for a long time for he was a great friend of mine. Today was a very beautiful sunny day with the temperature reaching 9 degrees Celsius. All the snow in the car park in front of my house is gone although there is still some snow along the roads and in the woods.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words, “I bless you My son Melvin and My sons and daughters who walk with Me every day. Next Friday you will be with Me at the cross of My Son Jesus when He died in terrible suffering to atone for all the sins of mankind. It was there at the foot of the cross that My Son Jesus spoke to Me saying, “Woman, behold, your son.” The word ‘son’ means all of you who accept Him as your Savior and I as your Mother. Never forget that you have a Mother in heaven who loves you and who prays for you all the time. You can come to Me at any time with any problem or sickness you have and I will go to My Son and intercede for you. He has never said ‘no’ to My requests. He has great love for Me. He has told a woman who did not have a devotion to Me these words, “How can you love Me if you do not love My Mother.” Therefore, all those who love My Son Jesus also love Me who is Jesus’ Mother and your Mother. I love you all and I bless you.”

The Canaanite Woman’s Faith

The Canaanite Woman’s Faith

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 15, 21 – 28:

Then Jesus went from that place and withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a Canaanite woman of that district came and called out, “Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is tormented by a demon.” But he did not say a word in answer to her. His disciples came and asked him, “Send her away, for she keeps calling out after us.” He said in reply, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” But the woman came and did her homage, saying, “Lord, help me.” He said in reply, “It is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.” She said, “Please, Lord, for even the dogs eat the scraps that fall from the table of their masters.” Then Jesus said to her in reply, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.

Today Thursday we had the funeral of my brother-in-law Leo at the Immaculate Conception Church at Palmer Road. There were well over 500 people present and it went very well with the singing and all those who served. My sister, Esther, Leo’s wife, was sitting right in the front of the church with her two sisters and they prayed very well with all the members of her family together with all her sons and daughters and her grandchildren.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words, “I invite you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who live in all parts of the world to believe in Me and to follow the will of Our Heavenly Father. I came into the world not just to save the Jewish people but all the people throughout the world. The story of this non-Jewish woman shows that all those who have faith may ask Me what they want and I will answer them. I chased the evil spirit who was inhabiting her daughter once I saw that she was of great faith. She accepted Me as the Son of David who had great power to heal and to chase away evil spirits. Seeing her great faith, I liberated her daughter from that evil spirit.
So My friends come to Me at all times and ask for My help and if you have faith I will give you what you want. Many people from all over the world come to Me regularly for My help when they are sick, or depressed or possessed and I heal them and take the depression away and chase the evil spirits away. Have a strong faith so you will not lose it when you are faced with suffering or with a problem. Remember I am always very near to you. I love you all.”

The Tradition of the Elders

The Tradition of the Elders

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 15, 1 – 9:

Then Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and said, “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They do not wash their hands when they eat a meal.” He said to them in reply, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? For Go said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and ‘Whoever curses father or mother shall die.’ But you say, ‘Whoever says to father or mother, ‘Any support you might have had from me is dedicated to God, need not honor his father.’ You have nullified the word of God for the sake of your tradition. Hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy about you when he said,
‘This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me;
in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines human precepts.'”

Today we had the wake for my brother-in-law Leo. Many people came to view the body and to offer sympathy. The funeral will be tomorrow Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon. My sister finds it hard indeed and so does all their children. He will be missed by many people.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words, “I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to follow all that the Father has asked you to do. He gave you ten commandments and you are to follow all of them. You are never to substitute a human law for the commandments of your Heavenly Father. This is what the Jews did and I reproached them for doing this. I also reproach those today who do the same. He has said that marriage is between a man and a woman but today how many refuse to follow what the Father has commanded them. Some prefer to go to a hockey game or a football game on Sunday morning instead of going to church for Sunday Mass. It is a law that all have to go to church on Sunday unless they are sick. It is absolutely forbidden to kill an unborn child. This is murder for the Father has said, ‘You shall not kill.’ So all who have an abortion commit an grievous sin against their Heavenly Father. Follow all that He has asked you and you will be saved. I bless you all.”
