Communal Life

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 1, 42 – 47:

The baptized devoted themselves to the teaching of the Apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers. Awe came upon everyone, and many wonders and signs were done through the Apostles. All who believed were together and had all things in common, they would sell their property and possessions and divide them among all according to each one’s need. Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes. They ate their meals with exultation and sincerity of heart, praising God and enjoying favor with all the people. And everyday the Lord added to their numbers those who were being saved.

At one healing Mass, a woman ask for prayers for herself and then asked for prayers for a friend of hers who was in hospital and the doctors could not find what was the matter with her. She was very sick and simply laid in bed. I prayed for this woman in hospital and the next day in the evening she phoned me. She told me that when she woke up in the morning, she felt completely healed. She got up and asked the nurse to give her all her clothes. She dressed and waited for the doctor to release her from hospital. When the doctor came he checked all her vital signs and found that everything was all right and released her. Then her husband came and took her home.
Thank you Lord for healing this woman.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“You are full members of the church, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who follow Me every day. At the beginning of the Church soon after the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the Christians lived together as a community. They loved to go to the Temple to pray, to take part in the Holy Eucharist with the Apostles at their homes and many would eat together in the evening. They were full of joy being filled with the Holy Spirit and following Me closely. They had great faith. I call you all to imitate these early Christians by going to Holy Mass as often as you can and to receive Me in Holy Communion. Come together often to pray the rosary and other prayers too. You will be blessed and many will come and join you. I bless you all.”

P.S. We had a warm sunny day on Tuesday. It came up to 27 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. It clouded over in the evening and we should have showers during the night and tomorrow. I thank the Lord for this wonderful day.

Peter’s Speech at Pentecost (2)

Peter’s Speech at Pentecost (2)

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 2, 25 – 41:

Saint Peter said these words, “For David says of him (Jesus): ‘I saw the Lord ever before me, with him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed. Therefore, my heart has been glad and my tongue has exulted; my flesh, too, will dwell in hope, because you will not abandon my soul to the nether world, nor will you suffer your holy one to see corruption. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.’
My brothers, one can confidently say to you about the Patriarch David that he died and was buried, and his tomb is in our midst to this day. But since he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants upon his throne, he foresaw and spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that neither was he abandoned to the netherworld nor did his flesh see corruption. God raised this Jesus, of this we are all witnesses. Exalted at the right hand of God, he received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father and poured it forth, as you both see and hear. For David did not go up into heaven, but he himself said: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.”‘
Therefore, let the whole house of Israel know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Messiah, this Jesus whom you crucified.”
Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and they asked Peter and the other Apostles, “What are we to do, my brothers?” Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is made to you and to your children and to all those far off, whomever the Lord our God will call.” He testified with many other arguments, and was exhorting them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand persons were added that day.

A woman came here sometime ago who was possessed by the evil one. She knew she was possessed because of what was happening in her life. She had attended varies gatherings of New Age and they had done riki on her. Anyway I told her I would pray with her to chase away the evil one and she agreed. As I started to pray she fell on the floor and started shouting and screaming as if she was crazy. I prayed with her for about fifteen minutes and then the screaming ended and she went silent. At the end she was completely at ease and I stopped praying. From that day the evil one never returned and she has been in good health. The Lord is wonderful.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me with all your heart and that you believe that the Father and I sent the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles on the day of Pentecost. After the experience, Saint Peter went outside where a huge crowd of people had gathered and he addressed them. He told them that King David had prophesied about Me, Jesus, and about My resurrection. Then Saint Peter told them that he and the Apostles are the witnesses of My resurrection. The Father gave Me My thrown at His right side and I received the promise of the Holy Spirit from Him and I poured Him forth and He came and filled all the Apostles at Pentecost.
When the Jews, who were assembled, heard this they asked, ‘What are we to do?’ Peter told them that they had to repent of their sins and to be baptized. That day about three thousand people were baptized and entered My Church. Again today I call all the people of the world to repent and to receive baptism and they too will receive the Holy Spirit.”

P.S. We had a beautiful sunny day today. It was sunny the whole day and the temperature reached close to 25 degrees Celsius. I thank the Lord for this day!

Peter’s Speech at Pentecost

Peter’s Speech at Pentecost

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 2, 11 – 24:

Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice, and proclaimed to them, “You who are Jews, indeed all of you staying in Jerusalem. Let this be known to you, and listen to my words. These people are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only nine o’clock in the morning. No, this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel:

‘It will come to pass in the last days,’ God says, ‘that I will pour out a portion of my spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. Indeed, upon my servants and my handmaids I will pour out a portion of my spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy. And I will work wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below: blood, fire, and a cloud of smoke. The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and splendid day of the Lord, and it shall be that everyone shall be saved who calls on the name of the Lord.’

You who are Israelites, hear these words. Jesus the Nazorean was a man commended to you by God with mighty deeds, wonders, and signs, which God worked through him in your midst, as you yourselves know. This man, delivered up by the set plan and foreknowledge of God, you killed, using lawless men to crucify him. But God raised him up releasing him from the throes of death because it was impossible for him to be held by it.”

A few years ago I called people to the Little Shrine of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island on Pentecost evening for prayer. We prayed together and at the end I placed my hands on each person and prayed with each one. What was so extraordinary is that as soon as I placed my hands on a person head, that person went down through the power of the Holy Spirit. When I finished praying with them, every person was lying on the floor. Then they started speaking in tongues and they got up and started dancing all over chapel. This lasted at least one half hour. Pentecost was really present that day.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you all My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to take part in the wonderful day of Pentecost. Know that you are now all filled with the Holy Spirit just like the Apostles on that first Pentecost. On that day Saint Peter, the Apostle, went outside the building where the people were gathered and he spoke to them. He told them that the Apostles were not drunk as it was only nine o’clock in the morning. Then he give them the prophesy of Joel. Joel had said that God would give the people a portion of His Spirit and all would prophesy. Then Peter told the Jews the horrible thing they had done to Me. I had come into the world and I did many great deeds like healing the sick and bringing back to dead to life. I spoke to them the truth about God and I prophesied that I would be killed and on the third day I would rise again. However, the Jews did not accept Me and instead they arrested Me, tortured Me and at the end killed Me by nailing Me to the cross. However, on the third day I was raised up to life never to die again. This is the first part of the talk that Peter gave to the Jews on Pentecost day.”

Father Melvin

P.S. Sunday, June 22, was a great day for me. It was the anniversary of my ordination to the priesthood. It is now 46 years ago that I was ordained and I was filled with joy on this great anniversary. I thank the Lord for this great gift He gave me. Please pray that I remain faithful to Jesus until the end of my life.
