Peter’s Speech at Pentecost (2)

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 2, 25 – 41:

Saint Peter said these words, “For David says of him (Jesus): ‘I saw the Lord ever before me, with him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed. Therefore, my heart has been glad and my tongue has exulted; my flesh, too, will dwell in hope, because you will not abandon my soul to the nether world, nor will you suffer your holy one to see corruption. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.’
My brothers, one can confidently say to you about the Patriarch David that he died and was buried, and his tomb is in our midst to this day. But since he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants upon his throne, he foresaw and spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that neither was he abandoned to the netherworld nor did his flesh see corruption. God raised this Jesus, of this we are all witnesses. Exalted at the right hand of God, he received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father and poured it forth, as you both see and hear. For David did not go up into heaven, but he himself said: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.”‘
Therefore, let the whole house of Israel know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Messiah, this Jesus whom you crucified.”
Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and they asked Peter and the other Apostles, “What are we to do, my brothers?” Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is made to you and to your children and to all those far off, whomever the Lord our God will call.” He testified with many other arguments, and was exhorting them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand persons were added that day.

A woman came here sometime ago who was possessed by the evil one. She knew she was possessed because of what was happening in her life. She had attended varies gatherings of New Age and they had done riki on her. Anyway I told her I would pray with her to chase away the evil one and she agreed. As I started to pray she fell on the floor and started shouting and screaming as if she was crazy. I prayed with her for about fifteen minutes and then the screaming ended and she went silent. At the end she was completely at ease and I stopped praying. From that day the evil one never returned and she has been in good health. The Lord is wonderful.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me with all your heart and that you believe that the Father and I sent the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles on the day of Pentecost. After the experience, Saint Peter went outside where a huge crowd of people had gathered and he addressed them. He told them that King David had prophesied about Me, Jesus, and about My resurrection. Then Saint Peter told them that he and the Apostles are the witnesses of My resurrection. The Father gave Me My thrown at His right side and I received the promise of the Holy Spirit from Him and I poured Him forth and He came and filled all the Apostles at Pentecost.
When the Jews, who were assembled, heard this they asked, ‘What are we to do?’ Peter told them that they had to repent of their sins and to be baptized. That day about three thousand people were baptized and entered My Church. Again today I call all the people of the world to repent and to receive baptism and they too will receive the Holy Spirit.”

P.S. We had a beautiful sunny day today. It was sunny the whole day and the temperature reached close to 25 degrees Celsius. I thank the Lord for this day!
