Ananias and Sapphira

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 5, 1 – 11:

A man named Ananias, however, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property. He retained for himself, with his wife’s knowledge, some of the purchase price, took the remainder, and put it at the feet of the Apostles. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart so that you lied to the Holy Spirit and retained part of the price of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain yours? And when it was sold, was it not still under your control? Why did you contrive this deed? You have lied not to human beings, but to God.” When Ananias heard these words, he fell down and breathed his last, and great fear came upon all who heard of it. The young men came and wrapped him up, then carried him out and buried him.
After and interval of about three hours, his wife came in, unaware of what had happened. Peter said to her, “Tell me, did you sell the land for this amount? She answered, “Yes, for that amount.” Then Peter said to her, “Why did you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen, the footsteps of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” At once she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. When the young men entered they found her dead, so they carried her out and buried her beside her husband. And great fear came upon the whole church and upon all who heard of these things.

On Tuesday July 1st was Canada Day. It is a joy for all Canadians. There were celebrations in many cities and in others there were marches. I prayed for all Canadians because today many have rejected their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They do not go to church and they do not pray. Many Canadians are not following God but the devil. They have accepted abortions, which is the killing of the unborn children. Some Provinces have introduced euthanasia which is a horrible sin for the Lord gave us the commandment: Thou shall not kill. The Federal Government has passed a law to allow same-sex marriage and this too goes against the will of God. At least here in the Province of Prince Edward Island there are no abortions and so this province is blessed by the Lord but there are abortions in all the other provinces.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you all My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to follow the Commandments of God. No one can love God if he or she does not obey these ten commandments. In the scripture quotation today, there is a man and his wife who went against the commandments. What they did is they told lies. It is against the law of God to tell lies. They had sold a part of their property but they kept some of the money and brought the rest to the Apostles telling them that it was all the money they had received from selling the property. This was a pure lie and the Holy Spirit told Saint Peter about this lie. He told the man what he had done and he simply fell on the floor and died. Then his wife came and told the same lie and she too fell and died. This shows what happens when we commit grave sin. However, I am very merciful so if the sinner repents of his sins, then I will pardon him or her and they will be saved. So all of you, My friends, repent of all your sins and they will be taken away. If you do not repent, then you will not be saved. Many people today commit horrible sins and they do not repent of them. They live with Satan. I call you all to change your life around and I will bless you.”

P.S. We had a very hot day again on the 1st of July. It was around 32 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. It is a great time for the beach. I bless you all.

Life in the Christian Community

Life in the Christian Community

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 4, 32 – 37:

The community of believers was of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they had everything in common. With great power the Apostles bore witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great favor was accorded them all. There was no needy person among them, for those who owned property or houses would sell them, bring the proceeds of the sale, and put them at the feet of the Apostles, and they were distributed to each according to need.
Thus Joseph, also named by the Apostles, Barnabas (which is translated “son of encouragement”), a Levite, a Cypriot by birth, sold a piece of property that he owned, then brought the money and put it at the feet of the Apostles.

I wish to remind you all again that I will have a healing service at the chapel of Our Lady of Prince Edward Island, Palmer Road, on Friday evening, July 4th, at 7:00 p.m.
Everyone is welcomed.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“You are called My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to be members of a Christian Community. At the beginning of the Church in Jerusalem, the Apostles created such a community and all gathered together to pray, to eat and to take part in the Eucharist Celebration. Each member gave what they had to the community and so no one ever went hungry or had no place to sleep. The community took care of all the poor people. The Apostles worked with great power to bear witness to My resurrection. Some like Barnabas sold a piece of property and then brought the money to the Apostles to be used as they saw fit. So all the believers were of one heart and one mind. This is truly a Christian Community.
I call you all to be active to have such a community in your midst. Where you have such a community you can be sure that I am there present in your midst. I bless you all and I love you with all My heart.”

Father Melvin

P.S. We had a warm and sunny day on Monday, June 30th. It was about 30 degrees Celsius on the island today. It seems it will continue for most of the week. I did not send a message yesterday because I went away and I only came back late.

Prayer of the Community

Prayer of the Community

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 4, 22 – 31:

After the release of the Apostles they went back to their own people and reported what the chief priests and elders had told them. And when they heard it ; they raised their voices to God with one accord and said , “Sovereign Lord, maker of heaven and earth and the sea and all that is in them, you said by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of our father David, your servant: ‘Why did the Gentiles rage and the peoples entertain folly? The kings of the earth took their stand and the princes gathered together against the Lord and against his anointed. Indeed they gathered in this city against your holy servant Jesus whom you anointed, Herod and Pontius Pilate ; together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, to do what your hand and your will had long ago planned to take place. And now, Lord, take note of their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with all boldness as you stretch forth your hand to heal and signs and wonders are done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” As they prayed, the place where they were gathered shook and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

I prepared Our Lady of PEI English newsletter today and the envelopes are all ready to be mailed out. The French translation will be done shortly and I will send them out to all those who paid the subscription. Some who were receiving the Newsletter have not paid the subscription for 2014 and those who wish to receive the Newsletter for 2015 need to pay this summer. It only cost $12.00 for those living in Canada and internationally the cost is $15.00.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words ;

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who are dedicated to prayer every day. When the Apostles Saint Peter and Saint John returned from the court they joined the community of believers to pray and thank the Lord that the two Apostles were released. After they heard the Apostles ; the believers raised their voices to God with one accord. They asked Me in their prayers to enable the Apostles and the believers to speak the word of God with all boldness. They asked Me to stretch out My hands to heal and to work signs and wonders. As they were praying ; the house shook and the Holy Spirit descended on all of them and they were filled. They would now continue to speak the word of God at all times. ; I send you all the Holy Spirit that you may also spread the word of God to all those you meet. I want every person to come to believe in Me and to follow Me. I love you all.”

P.S. June 29 is the great feast of Saint Peter and Saint Paul who founded the Church of Rome. They were both martyred in Rome and they were buried there. Let us pray for unity among all the Christians as Jesus prayed before His Passion. I bless you all.
