Herod’s Death

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 12, 20 – 25:

Herod had long been very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon, who now came to him in a body. After winning over Blastus, the king’s chamberlain, they sued for peace because their country was supplied with food from the king’s territory. On an appointed day, Herod, arrived in royal robes, and seated on the rostrum, addressed them publicly. The assembled crowd cried out, This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” At once the angel of the Lord struck him down because he did not ascribe the honor to God; and he was eaten by worms and breathed his last. But the word of God continued to spread and grow.
After Barnabas and Saul completed their relief mission, they returned to Jerusalem, taking with them John, who is called Mark.

Today I am praying for a young Muslim girl who is in her teens. Sometime ago this girl had a vision of Jesus who spoke to her. I ask you all to pray for her for the Lord calls her to become a member of His Church. This girl was born in Iran and is about 18 years old.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I bless My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who have great faith in My Son Jesus and you go to Holy Mass every Sunday. I am praying for you all.
King Herod was not a good man and you know that he was the one who caused great suffering to My Son and he gave the Jews the right to crucify Him. He also caused much problems to the Apostles as they were working hard to begin the Church. He caused great suffering to Saint Peter and the others. When he allowed the people to call him a god, then an angel came and struck him down and he was eaten by worms and died. Anyone who works against My Son Jesus will surely be punished one day.
I call you all to believe with all your heart in Jesus My Son. He is your Savior who died a horrible death on the cross. I was there at the foot of the cross when he died and it caused me great suffering. Indeed it was like a sword had pierced My Heart. Pray my dear children for the conversion of all the people of the world that the world may be renewed and a great period of peace, love and joy may descend upon the world. I bless you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. We had one of the most beautiful days this summer. It was sunny all day and there was a little wind which kept the heat away. It was warm but not too much. I thank the Lord for this special day. This evening, the first Friday of August, I will have a Healing Service in the chapel of Our Blessed Mother.

Herod’s Persecution of the Christians

Herod’s Persecution of the Christians

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 12, 1 – 19:

About that time King Herod laid hands upon some members of the church to harm them. He had James, the brother of John, killed by the sword, and when he saw that this was pleasing to the Jews he proceeded to arrest Peter also. It was the feast of Unleavened Bread. He had him taken into custody and put in prison under the guard of four squads of four soldiers each. He intended to bring him before the people after Passover. Peter thus was being kept in prison, but prayer by the church was fervently being made to God on his behalf.
On the very night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter, secured by double chains, was sleeping between two soldiers, while outside the door guards kept watch on the prison. Suddenly the angel of the Lord stood by him and a light shone in the cell. He tapped Peter on the side and awakened him, saying, “Get up quickly.” The chains fell from his wrists. The angel said to him, “Put on your belt and your sandals.” He did so. Then he said to him, “Put on your cloak and follow me.” So he followed him out, not realizing that what was happening through the angel was real; he thought he was seeing a vision. They passed the first guard, then the second, and came to the iron gate leading out to the city, which opened for them by itself. They emerged and made their way down an alley, and suddenly the angel left him. Then Peter recovered his senses and said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people had been expecting.” When he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John who is called Mark, where there were many people gathered in prayer. When he knocked on the gateway door, a maid name Rhoda came to answer it. She was so overjoyed when she recognized Peter’s voice that, instead of opening the gate, she rain in and announced that Peter was standing at the gate. They told her, “You are out of your mind,” but she insisted that it was so. But they kept saying, “It is an angel.” But Peter continued to knock, and when they opened it, they saw him and were astounded. He motioned to them with his hand to be quiet and explained to them how the Lord had led him out of the prison, and said, “Report this to James and the brothers.” Then he left and went to another place. At daybreak there was no small commotion among the soldiers over what had become of Peter. Herod, after instituting a search but not finding him, ordered the guards tried and executed. Then he left to spend some time in Caesarea.

One day the parents of a boy of about five years of age came to visit me. They had brought the boy because he was sick and needed healing. So I prayed with the boy and asked the Lord to heal him of his sickness. The next day the mother phoned me that her son got up in the morning and he fell very well. The sickness was completely gone. I thank the Lord once more for all the wonderful acts of healing He has done.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I loved Saint Peter with all My heart and I love you too My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sister who believe in Me and pray every day. I protected Saint Peter many times especially while he was in Jerusalem. One day King Herod had Saint Peter arrested and put in prison with the intention to kill him after the Passover. However, the night before the Passover, Saint Peter was rescued by an angel of God. The angel came and awakened him and told him to get ready and to follow him. Saint Peter followed him and everything was opened even the gate of the prison. After he was on the street, the angel left him. He was able to go to a house where many Christians were praying to let them know that he was freed and then went to another house. It was not time for Saint Peter to die for he still had many actions to do in other countries and in Rome.
Be people of prayer and I will be there to help you. I will protect you and make sure that you have something to eat and a place to sleep. I bless you all.”

P.S. It rained a bit this morning Thursday but the sun came out in the afternoon and we had a fine evening. The Lord is good.

The Prediction of Agabus

July 31, 2014

The Prediction of Agabus

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 11, 27 – 30:

At the time some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch, and one of them named Agabus stood up and predicted by the Spirit that there would be a severe famine all over the world, and it happened under Claudius. So the disciples determined that according to ability, each should send relief to the brothers who lived in Judea. This they did, sending it to the presbyters in care of Barnabas and Saul.

A few years ago I was in the Province of Quebec for a retreat and a Healing Mass. There was a woman there who could not walk. She went around the house in her wheelchair. I prayed with her asking the Lord to heal her legs so that she could walk again. The next day she began to walk to the amazement of everyone. Thank you Lord for all the wonderful things you do.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I call you to follow Me, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have given Me your heart. I live in union with you and I give you all the graces you need every day.
In Antioch one day, a prophet came and spoke to the Christians there about the great famine that was coming. Indeed a few years later the famine hit many, many countries and especially Judea in the country we call today Israel. So a collection was made among the Christians in Antioch and other places and Barnabas and Paul brought all that to Judea to help these people.
There was a great famine some years ago in Ethiopia. The Ethiopian Government was Communist and they told the people to stop praying and use their churches for storing farmers’ food. The next year the country was hit by a famine as there was no rain for a full year and the farmers did not produce any food at all. Many people suffered terribly from this famine. When the Christians saw what had happened they decided to remove everything from their churches and to start praying once more. So on Sunday the people gathered in the churches for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Soon after they started doing this, the rain began and they had plenty of food the second year. All have to show their love for the Lord and He will bless them.”

Father Melvin

P.S. We had a hot day on Wednesday and some clouds but it did not rain during the day. We will have some rain during the night.
