The Appearance to Mary of Magdala
A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 20, 11 – 18:
But Mary stayed outside the tomb weeping. And as she wept, she bent over into the tomb and saw two angels in white siting there, one at the head and one at the feet where the body of Jesus had been. And they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken my Lord, and I don’t know where they laid him.” When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus there, but did not know it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” She thought it was the gardener and said to him, “Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you laid him, and I will take him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni,” which means Teacher. Jesus said to her, “Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'” Mary of Magdala went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and what he told her.
We had another beautiful day and for this I thank the Lord. Let us pray every day that what is coming as a punishment will not be too bad and we will all be able to get over it. It is true that we will suffer but pray that He will help us to overcome these days of suffering.
Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I would like all of you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters that you would have faith and love of Me as Saint Mary Magdalene. She was in great sorrow because I had died on the cross and to make it worst, My body was no longer in the tomb where they buried Me. As she looked inside the tomb, she saw two angels in white and they asked her why she was weeping. She told them that they had taken My body and she did not know where they had laid it. Then I came behind her and she turned around and saw Me but she did not recognize Me. She thought I was the gardener and that I was the one who had taken the body away. I asked her this question, “Why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” So she thought that I (the gardener) had taken My body away so she asked Me where I had laid the body and she would take it. When I called her by her name, then she recognized Me and called Me teacher. I told her to go and tell the Apostles that I was going to My Father and their Father and My God and their God. So she went and told them everything that had happened.
My dear friends, what joy must have filled Saint Mary Magdalene’s heart when she perceived that I was alive. I had come back from the dead and now I would go and visit the Apostles soon. Know My brothers and sisters that I am always with you if you follow Me. I am your friend who loves you and helps you every day.”
