The Wedding at Cana

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 2, 1 – 12:

On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.” Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it. And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.” Jesus did this at the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory; and his disciples began to believe in him.
After this, he and his mother, his brothers, and his disciples went down to Capernaum and stayed there only a few days.

I wish to thank all those who sent me money to pay my big bill. Soon this will be over. May the Lord bless all those who opened their hearts to my problem and Our Heavenly Mother is also very pleased.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Believe My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters that when I was on earth I performed many miracles. This one in the reading today came about because of My Mother. She is the one who told Me that they had no wine. My reaction is understandable because I had not done any miracles up to that day. I called My Mother, “Woman” for this was the way that women were addressed. My Mother understood that I would perform the miracle and that is why She told the servants to do whatever I would say to them. Indeed I told them to fill the jars with water and they did. When I told one to bring a cup of the water turned to wine to the headwaiter, he drank it and was overwhelmed because it was such good wine. In this way I blessed the wedding that took place that day in Cana. Remember this was My first miracle and I did it at the urging of my Mother. I cannot say ‘no’ to anything My Mother ask Me. I call you all to have a great love for My dear Mother and to pray the rosary every day. I bless you all.”
