Parable of the Rich Fool

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 12, 16 – 21:

Then Jesus told them a parable. “There was a rich man whose land produced a bountiful harvest. He asked himself, ‘What shall I do, for I do not have space to store my harvest?’
And he said, ‘This is what I shall do. I shall tear down my barns and build larger ones. There I shall store all my grain and other goods and I shall say to myself, ‘Now as for you, you have so many good things stored up for many years, rest, eat, drink, be merry.’ But God said to him, ‘You fool, this night your life will be demanded of you; and the things you have prepared, to whom will they belong?’ Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God.”

We had another snowstorm last night and today it was windy and the snow blew all over the place. My driveway is again full of snow and I am still waiting for my friend to come and open it. We never had so much snow as this year. There is a snowstorm every few days. I hope it will now come to an end.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I love you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who follow My Son Jesus every day. Are you producing treasures these days and are these treasures in heaven? If you produce treasures and you put them in the bank or store it in your barns, they can be destroyed or stolen and then you do not have anything. But what you have to do is to store your treasures in heaven. How does one store his or her treasures in heaven? You do not run after money but you do what is pleasing to God. You pray every day and you repent of all your sins. You go to church regularly and receive the Holy Eucharist as often as you can. You help the poor and the sick. You go and visit them and spend time with them. In this way you show them that you love them as you love My Son Jesus. I also call you to pray for those in need especially those who do not have faith, those who do not go to church, those who are depressed and for all the sick. In this way you will be storing your treasure in heaven and when you come to heaven you will have all these treasures. You will be blessed by Our Heavenly Father, by My Son Jesus and I will bless you too. I love you all My dear children.”
