The Healing of a Demoniac

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Luke 8, 26 – 39:

Then they sailed to the territory of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee. When Jesus came ashore a man from the town who was possessed by demons met him. For a long time he had not worn clothes; he did not live in a house, but lived among the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him; in a loud voice he shouted, “What have you to do with me, Jesus, son of the Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me.” For he had ordered the unclean spirit to come out of the man.” Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He replied, “Legion,” because many demons had entered him. And they pleaded with him not to order them to depart to the abyss.
A herd of many swine was feeding there on the hillside, and they pleaded with him to allow them to enter those swine; and he let them. The demons came out of the man and entered the swine, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned. When the swineherds saw what had happened, they ran away and reported the incident in the town and throughout the countryside.
People came out to see what had happened and, when they approached Jesus, they discovered the man from whom the demons had come out sitting at his feet. He was clothed and in his right mind, and they were seized with fear. Those who witnessed it told them how the possessed man had been saved. The entire population of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them because they were seized with great fear. So he got into a boat and returned. The man from whom the demons had come out begged to remain with him, but he sent him away saying, “Return home and recount what God had done for you.” The man went off and proclaimed throughout the whole town what Jesus had done for him.

We had a snowstorm overnight. We were supposed to get a foot of snow but on Sunday morning I saw that only half a foot of snow had fallen. It did rain some during the night for the temperature was plus one Celsius for most of the night. I could back my car to the road although the snow on the driveway had not been cleared. It was about 0 degree Celsius the whole day today. I am happy that it did not snow very much.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“Remember My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who follow Me every day that I have great power over the demons. I just have to say the word and they are gone. I visited a place one day and a man possessed by demons came to Me. He was possessed by many demons and they asked Me to send them into the herd of swine that was on the hillside. So I agreed and they left this man and entered the swine and these ran to the lake and they were all drowned. The man now was in good form and he had all his mind. Those who were looking after the swine ran home and told all the people what had happened and the people rushed to the place to see what I had done. They knew this man who was possessed and they could see that now he was all right. They were afraid of Me after I did this great miracle. They asked Me to leave and so I did.
There are even today many people who are possessed. If a person goes to a group called New Age or any Satanic group, they can be possessed by these evil spirits. There are many people possessed in Canada and in many countries of Europe and of course in the United States. There is a French woman called Fabienne Guerrero who entered some of these Satanic groups and she was possessed by many demons. It was only when she returned to Me that these evil spirits were chased away by a priest. She wrote a book about her story and it should be read by everybody so they will be aware of the evil spirits and never do what she did. I call you all to follow Me and the evil spirits will never enter you. I will protect you. I bless you all.”
