Peter goes to Caesarea

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles 10, 24 – 33:

The next day Peter got up and went with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa went with him. On the following day he entered Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends. When Peter entered, Cornelius met him and, falling at his feet, paid him homage. Peter, however, raised him up, saying, “Get up. I myself am also a human being.” While he conversed with him, he went in and found many people gathered together and said to them, “You know that it is unlawful for a Jewish man to associate with, or visit, a Gentile, but God has shown me that I should not call any person profane or unclean. And that is why I came without objection when sent for. May I ask, then, why you summoned me?” Cornelius replied, “Four days ago at this hour, three o’clock in the afternoon, I was at prayer in my house when suddenly a man in dazzling robes stood before me and said, “Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your almsgiving remembered before God. Send therefore to Joppa and summon Simon, who is called Peter. He is a guest in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea. So I sent for you immediately and you were kind enough to come. Now therefore we are all here in the presence of God to listen to all that you have been commanded by the Lord.”

One day about a year ago, a young man about 30 years of age came to visit me. He told me that he had trouble with his stomach and he had gone to see a doctor. After examinations, the doctor found that he had cancer of the stomach. So he would have to be operated to remove this. When he heard this he decided to come and see me and ask me to pray with him. So I prayed and asked the Lord to heal him of this cancer. In about ten days he came back to visit me and he told me that he had gone to his doctor and he sent him to the hospital again for more tests. The results came and the doctor could not believe it. It said that there was no trace of cancer anymore. Thank you Lord for this great healing.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who walk with My Son Jesus every day. Your relationship with Him is growing every day. Saint Peter was a great friend of My Son too. He was always ready to do whatever he was told. One day some men came from Caesarea to invite Saint Peter to come with them to visit a man called Cornelius. Peter agreed and the next day he left with them. It took almost two days to walk to Caesarea and they arrived at Cornelius house around three in the afternoon. There was a big crowd gathered there and Cornelius explained to St. Peter the vision he had of an angel. The angel had asked him to send men to Joppa to call Saint Peter. So now Peter was there with them. Tomorrow My Son will explain what happened after Cornelius had spoken.
Remember that there are heavenly beings that come to earth often. I have come to earth often and My Son has appeared there too. Angels have appeared to people to tell them what God wants the people to know and even saints have appeared on earth and brought a message to the people. Know that there is much communication between heaven and earth. I love you all.”

P.S. We had a beautiful sunny day this Friday and we should have the same weather tomorrow for the Feast of Saint Anne and Saint Joachim. May the Lord bless you all.
