The Questions about David’s Son

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 22, 41 – 46:

When the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus questioned them, saying, “What is your opinion about the Messiah? Whose son is he?” They replied, “David’s.” He said to them, “How then, does David, inspired by the Spirit, call him Lord, saying:
‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit at my right hand until I place your enemies under your feet.”‘
If David call him ‘lord,’ how can he be his son? No one was able to answer him a word, nor from that day on did any one dare to ask him any more questions.

I ask you all to pray for my sister who was diagnosed with breast cancer. She only found out two days ago after an examination at the hospital. I already prayed over her asking the Lord to heal her.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words, “I know that you recognize Me as your Messiah and Lord, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who know Me and love Me.
The Jewish leaders never wanted to accept Me as the Messiah. I asked them whose son the Messiah is said to be. The Jews answered that the Messiah would be the son of King David. I asked them another questions saying that if the Messiah is David’s son, then why did David call him lord? They could not answer My question. The reason why David called Me Lord is because I am truly the Lord and Savior of the world. I was sent by My heavenly Father to be born here on earth and to live as a human being although I lived in heaven as the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity.
You who believe in Me do call Me Lord for this is what I am. I am also the Savior of King David and all the people of the earth. They will all be saved if they believe in Me and follow Me.
So My dear friends accept Me for what I am. By all the miracles I accomplished when I was on earth, I wanted to show you that I am God the Son and I have all power even to bring back the dead to life. If you follow Me then one day you will be with Me in heaven and you will enjoy life everlasting. I bless you all.”

Father Melvin

P.S. What a beautiful day we had on Sunday! It was sunny all day and there was hardly any wind. The temperature reached beyond 20 degrees Celsius once again. It is so beautiful to have this wonderful weather and I thank the Lord for it.
