Jesus and Peter

A reading from the Gospel of Saint John 21, 15 – 19:

When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” He then said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, “Do you love me?” And he said to him, “Lord you know everything, you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. Amen, amen, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to dress yourself and go where you wanted, but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” He said this signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. And when he had said this, he said to him, “Follow Me.”

It rained heavily today and this rain started during last night. There was a lot of water in the fields and some flooding on the roads here and there. In the afternoon of Thursday some snow fell but not much. The temperature was zero degrees. It should be sunny on Friday.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,

“I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me with all your heart. Saint Peter, one day after he had voiced his faith in Me saying that I was the Messiah, the Son of the living God, I had told him that he was the rock on which I would build My Church. Then soon after My resurrection, I had appeared to seven of My Apostles and I had prepared breakfast for them. After breakfast, I began to speak to Saint Peter. I asked him three times the same question which is, ‘Simon, son of John, do you love me?’ Of course Saint Peter answered that he loved Me. However, when I asked him the third time, he was distressed because he knew that he had denied Me three times. This is why I asked him three times so that by his love, I could absolve him for these sins.
After each response from Saint Peter I would tell him either ‘Feed my lambs’ or ‘Tend my sheep’ and after the third question, I told him these words, ‘Feed my sheep.’ These answers of mine shows you all, that I had appointed Saint Peter as head of My Church. The lambs are the people who belong to My Church and the sheep are the leaders of My Church such as the Bishops and priests.
After appointing Saint Peter to lead My Church, then I told him how he was to die. What I said to him means that he will be arrested and killed. Indeed Saint Peter died a martyr nailed to the cross but with his head down and his legs up. He was killed in Rome and he was at that time the Bishop of Rome. All the successors of the Bishop of Rome are also the successors of Saint Peter and they are the leaders of My Church. Follow everything that the Pope of Rome tells you for each one has been appointed by Me through the Holy Spirit.
I bless you all.”
