Jesus: A cause of Division

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 10, 34 – 42:

Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth. I have come to bring not peace but the sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one’s enemies will be those of his household.
Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever receives a righteous man because he is righteous will receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink because he is a disciple–amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward.”

I call you all to pray for the people of the Ukraine. Russia is causing much trouble in that country and it looks like the Russians want to take over that country once more. Let us pray for the freedom of the Ukrainian people at this time. May the Lord help them.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Our Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words, “I bless you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me as their Savior. Because of Me, many families are divided. In many families, there are some who believe in Me and others who do not believe in Me. How often do I see these days the division between a mother and her teenage children. The mother usually has a great faith in Me but their children when they approach twenty years of age reject Me and refuse to go to church or to pray. Their mother will definitely pray for her children and when she can she will talk to them about going to church and to pray every day. Often they will laugh at her and tell her to stop talking about Me. This hurts the mother very much.
It is important that I be the first person in your life. If I am not the first in your life, then at times you will refuse to follow Me and follow those whom you put first in your life. When I am first in your life, you will not listen to others if they laugh at you and tell you that you are crazy going to church every Sunday. Because I am important to you, you will not listen to such talk and instead you will increase your prayers and pray for those poor people. How important it is to pray for those who do not believe that they receive the gift of faith or an increase of faith. If you have Masses offered for them especially your children, many of them will return to Me and to prayer and to receive Me in Holy Communion at Church. Yes, I love you all and I want the salvation of every human person living on earth.”
