Teaching about Divorce

A reading from the Gospel of Saint Matthew 5, 31 – 37:

“It was also said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife must give her a bill of divorce.’ But I say to you, whoever divorces his wife (unless the marriage is unlawful) causes her to commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Again you have heard that it was said to your ancestors, “Do not take a false oath, but make good to the Lord all that you vow.’ But I say to you, do not swear at all; not by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is his footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Do not swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black. Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ mean ‘No.” Anything more is from the evil one.”

I ask you all to pray for my brother-in-law, as he was just diagnosed with cancer and it is very advance. The doctors have little hope that he will live any length of time. Pray too for my sister Esther, his wife. They live next door to me.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to me these words,

“I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to teach the Christians the true doctrine about marriage. All should accept that once they are married, their marriage is to last until death. No one should agree to separation or divorce. However, today many who are married end up in divorce over any sort of problem even if they are not serious. The reason for most of this is that these people do not have a relationship with Me, their Savior. If you do not live with Me then you live with the evil one and he will destroy all the great things that you have accomplished. Marriage is wonderful way of life and both husband and wife should love one another and forgive one another every day. They must ask Me every day to bless their marriage and to give them the graces and the strength to protect their marriage all the days of their life.
Do not take an oath as a follower of mine. Only the devil can push you to do such a thing. All that is needed is a wholehearted yes or a no.
I love you all.”
