God our Father

A reading from the Letter to the Hebrews 12, 1 – 13:

Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us while our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfector of faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him he endured the cross, despising its shame, and has taken his seat at the right of the throne of God. Consider how he endured such opposition from sinners, in order that you may not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood. You have also forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as sons:
“My son, do not disdain the discipline of the Lord or lose heart when reproved by him; he scourges every son he acknowledges.”
Endure your trials as “discipline”, God treats you as sons. For what “son” is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are without discipline, in which all have shared, you are not sons but bastards. Besides this, we have had our earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respect them. Should we not then submit all the more to the Father of spirits and live? They disciplined us for a short time as seemed right to them, but he does so for our benefit, in order that we may share his holiness. At the time, all discipline seems a cause not for joy but for pain, yet later it brings the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who are trained by it.
So strengthen your drooping hands and your weak knees. Make straight paths for your feet, that what is lame may not be dislocated but healed.

We had a beautiful sunny day yesterday and it should be sunny again today. The little snow we got is all gone now.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:

“Do not be afraid of suffering My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters. Although I was the Son of God I suffered terribly until My death on the cross. I had not done anything wrong but I accepted all this suffering so that you could become My brothers and sisters and follow Me. See how the Apostles suffered for all of them except one are martyrs. Today they live in great joy and peace in heaven. There are many of My followers throughout the centuries who have suffered very much. They accepted all this suffering for their sins and to help their fellow men and women to come to Me and believe in Me. So do not be afraid to be disciplined. In this way you will amend your lives and stop sinning and follow the good way. Look to your Father in heaven and be ready to do what He asks of you. He loves you and He wants you to be with Him in heaven one day. Offer up to the Father every suffering and every discipline and you will be with Him. I bless you all.
