Counsel to Timothy

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s First Letter to Timothy (1 Tim 4:6-16):

If you will give these instructions to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound teaching you have followed. Avoid profane and silly myths. Train yourself for devotion, for, while physical training is of limited value, devotion is valuable in every respect, since it holds a promise of life both for the present and for the future. This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance. For this we toil and struggle, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the savior of all, especially of those who believe.
Command and teach these things. Let no one have contempt for your youth, but set an example for those who believe, in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. Until I arrive, attend to the reading, exhortation, and teaching. Do not neglect the gift you have, which was conferred on you through the prophetic word with the imposition of hands of the presbyterate. Be diligent in these matters, be absorbed in them, so that your progress may be evident to everyone. Attend to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in both tasks, for by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

Today is Our Blessed Mother’s Day and I will celebrate Holy Mass this morning in Her Honor. Let us show Her our love by praying the rosary every day.

Below you will find the message of Our Blessed Mother, the Mother of Life, given to Father Melvin. She spoke to him these words,
“Be people of great devotion, especially you My son Melvin and all My sons and daughters who have great love for Me. Show My dear sons and daughters how all should be devoted to My Son Jesus by praying and contemplating every day. He needs to have His Home in your heart, and you need to have a great devotion to Him. Be close to Me too, for you all belong to My family. I have asked many times that those who follow My Son Jesus that they pray the rosary every day with great devotion, contemplating the various mysteries of the rosary. Prayer, you know, is very powerful because through prayer you receive great graces to help you every day and you receive great strength to oppose the evil one and to follow My Son Jesus. I am praying for you every day. I love you all.”
