The Experience of the Ministry

Dear Friends,
A reading from Saint Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians (2 Cor 6:1-13):

Working together, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For he says: “In an acceptable time I heard you, and on the day of salvation I helped you.”
Behold, now is a very acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. We cause no one to stumble in anything, in order that no fault may be found with our ministry; on the contrary, in everything we commend ourselves as ministers of God, through much endurance, in afflictions, hardships, constraints, beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, vigils, fasts; by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, in a holy spirit, in unfeigned love, in truthful speech, in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness at the right and at the left; through glory and dishonor, insult and praise. We are treated as deceivers and yet are truthful; as unrecognized and yet acknowledged; as dying and behold we live; as chastised and yet not put to death; as sorrowful yet always rejoicing; as poor yet enriching many; as having nothing and yet possessing all things.
We have spoken frankly to you, Corinthians; our heart is open wide. You are not constrained by us; you are constrained by your own affections. As recompense in kind (I speak as to my children), be open yourselves.

I hope to give a three-day retreat at Saint Agapit, about 40 kms from the city of Quebec on September 20, 21 and 22. I will also have a Healing Service on Saturday evening on September 21. It will be in French and I hope many people of Quebec will be present.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord, the Son of God, given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“Come follow Me My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who have given their lives to Me and you will have times of joy and peace but you will also suffer at times. If you are in union with Me, I will be there to help you to overcome any problems you might have. Every person has periods of sickness during his or her life but I will strengthen you so that you go through this period and get better. At times some people will dishonor you and even insult you, but do not worry because they did the same to Me. Some might bring you to court and you might have to spend time in jail but stay close to Me and I will not leave you alone. You might have trouble on the road when your car breaks down or you might get stuck in the snow in the winter. I will not leave you alone but I will make sure that you get someone to help you. I love to take care of those who are My close friends. You will have wonderful days of joy and I will fill you with love and peace. I love you all.”
