Blessing of the Children

Dear friends,
          A reading from St. Mark’s Gospel (10:13-16):
The people were bringing children to him [Jesus] that he might touch them but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child with not enter it.” Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his hands on them.

There are many people who are suffering today along the Eastern seaboard of the United States especially in New Jersey and in New York and Connecticut. The winds are fierce and there is much flooding in the cities. Here in Prince Edward Island we are going to miss it completely. We will have a bit of rain but hardly any wind. Yesterday it was sunny for a great part of the day. I continue to pray that this storm dies down quickly.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord of love who spoke to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words,
“I call you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters to love the children and to enjoy them as they play together. If you have something to teach them, they will listen to you with great attention. All of you are to imitate children especially their humility and straight forwardness. They are always ready to believe in God and to pray with all their hearts. I want you all to have a clear faith like children and not to be like those people who believe somewhat but they are full of doubt. Accept My words for they are but the truth. Any child that dies young goes straight to heaven because as I said the Kingdom of God belongs to them. How can you love children if you do not allow them to be born but instead you kill them in the wound. Abortion is a horrible sin for it is the killing of a human being. You are to love the children from the moment of conception and all the years of adulthood and after death too. If they have followed Me, when you come to heaven, you will meet them again in glory in the Kingdom of God. Pray for the end of abortion throughout the world and that every child be given the right to be born and to grow up. I love you all.”
