The Prayer of Jesus

Dear Friends,

A reading from the Gospel of St. John (17:12-19):

Jesus spoke to his Father saying, When I was with them I protected them in your name that you gave me, and I guarded them, and none of them was lost except the son of destruction, in order that the scripture might be fulfilled. But now I am coming to you. I speak this in the world so that they may share my joy completely. I gave them your word, and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world but that you keep them from the evil one. They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world. And I consecrate myself for them, so that they also may be consecrated in truth.

We had a lovely sunny day yesterday and it was warm. The temperature went over the 25 degrees Celsius mark. We might get a few showers today.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:

Every day I would spend time with My Heavenly Father in prayer. Sometimes I would spend the whole night in prayer and other days I would get up early in the morning and go to a quiet place to pray. It was always a joy for Me to spent time in prayer with the Father and to listen to all that He had for Me. The day before My death on the cross I prayed to the Father in the midst of the Apostles and I prayed for them that the Father would consecrate them and give them the strength they needed to follow the commandments and live in the truth I gave them.

You too, My dear friends, you are very special to Me. I continually ask the Father to help you and to guard you all from the attacks of the evil one. If you believe in Me and follow My teachings, then you are consecrated and the Father will take care of you. I want and He wants too that you all work hard with the graces you receive to achieve the great goal, which is to spend eternity in heaven with Us all. Remember the Father created you for one reason that you reach heaven one day and be united to Him. Spend each day of your life in close union with the Father and Me and follow the teachings of My Church.”

Father Melvin
