More Acts of Thanksgiving

Dear Friends,

A reading from St. Paul’s Letter to the Thessalonians (2:13-20):

For this reason we too give thanks to God unceasingly, that, in receiving the word of God from hearing us, you receive not a human word, as it truly is, the word of God, which is now at work in you who believe.

For you, brothers, have become imitators of the churches of God that are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you suffer the same things from your compatriots as they did from the Jews, who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets and persecuted us; they do not please God, and are opposed to everyone, trying to prevent us from speaking to the Gentiles that they may be saved, thus constantly filling up the measure of their sins. But the wrath of God has finally begun to come upon them.

Brothers, when we were bereft of you for a short time, in person, not in heart, we were all the more eager in our great desire to see you in person. We decided to go to you—I, Paul, not only once but more than once—yet Satan thwarted us. For what is our hope or joy or crown to boast of in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming if not you yourselves? For you are our glory and joy.

Again I thank all those who sent donation to pay my debts. You have been a great help indeed. May the Lord bless you all and may He fill you with all the graces and gifts that you need.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words:

Receive with joy My word My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters who believe in Me. It is such wonderful people like St. Paul who have given you the word of truth and you are to cherish this word as a great gift. You know that this word comes from Me, who suffered and died on the cross for your salvation. There is so much falsehood being spread around these days. It is the evil one who has done this and how he would like to destroy the truth I gave you but be assured that he will never be able to destroy completely the word of truth because of all of you who have believe in Me with all your heart. Continue to read the Bible especially the four gospels and the letters and you will be renewed in your hearts and your faith will increase. I bless you all.”
