Thanksgiving

Dear Friends,

A reading from the Second Letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians 1, 3 – 11.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and God of all encouragement, who encourages us in our every affliction, so that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction with the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged by God. For as Christ’s suffering overflow to us, so through Christ does our encouragement also overflow. If we are afflicted, it is for your encouragement and salvation; if we are encouraged, it is for your encouragement, which enables you to endure the same sufferings that we suffer. Our hope for you is firm, for we know that as you share in the sufferings, you also share in the encouragement.
We do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the affliction that came to us in the province of Asia; we were utterly weighed down beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life. Indeed, we had accepted within ourselves the sentence of death, that we might trust not in ourselves but in God who raises the dead. He rescued us from such great danger of death, and he will continue to rescue us, in him we have put our hope that he will also rescue us again, as you help us with prayer, so that thanks may be given by many on our behalf for the gift granted us through the prayers of many.

I thank the Lord for the beautiful sunny day we had yesterday, Canada Day. The temperature was about 25 degrees Celsius I also give thanks to the Lord that I am feeling better every day after being in hospital for six days. Thank you all for your prayers.

Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to me these words, “My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters, give thanks to the Father for all that He does for you. He is always there to strengthen you when you are in need. Open your heart to Him and you will be filled with encouragement to face any affliction and suffering. Every person has his or her time of suffering in the world but it will not last forever. If you turn to Me and pray or let someone with the gift of healing pray with you, you will receive a healing from Me. When I was on earth I laid My hands on many, many people and they were healed. I have the same power today and I am healing people not only in Israel but also in every country of the world. My friends pray for yourselves and also for all those who are sick and those who are in need. You know that prayers are powerful especially those that are offered with great faith. It gives Me great pain that so many people today have rejected Me and refuse to pray or to go to Church. They live a life of emptiness and in darkness controlled by the evil one. Pray for them that they will change their life and return to Me their Lord and Savior and I will fill them with My love, peace and joy. Every person needs these special gifts from Me to find that life is worth living. I bless you all.”
