Patience and Self-Denial

Dear Friends,

Please read this passage from the Letter of St. Paul to the Romans (15:1-13):

We who are strong ought to put up with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves; let each of us please our neighbor for the good, for building up. For Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, “The insults of those who insult you fall upon me.” For whatever was written previously was written for our instruction, that by endurance and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to think in harmony with one another, in keeping with Christ Jesus, that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Welcome one another, then, as Christ welcomed you, for the glory of God. For I say that Christ became a minister of the circumcised to show God’s truthfulness, to confirm the promises to the patriarchs, but so that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written: “Therefore, I will praise you among the Gentiles and sing praises to your name.” And again it says: “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people.” And again: “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise him.” And again Isaiah says: “The root of Jesse shall come, raised up to rule the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles hope.” May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Let us continue to pray for one another these days. Lift up your prayers to Our Dear Mother of Prince Edward Island, the Mother of Life.

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“I fill you with hope, My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters scattered all over the world. You all need My peace to live a life in close union with Me. Each one of you faces problems just about every day so come to Me and I will give you courage and strength to face these obstacles. Alone you will fail but together with Me you will succeed.

It is terrible these days how many people commit suicide. These people are not going to church and are not praying at home so when they face an obstacle they get depressed and at the end they want to kill themselves. Come follow Me every day and you will find hope, this great gift that comes from Me. Hope helps you to see beyond the problem because indeed there is light at the end of the tunnel. Pray that your hope may be strong every day and you will also be filled with peace. You are mine if you believe in Me and I will take care of you. Hope for heaven where you will live in great happiness with Me forever. When the time comes, I will come and get you. I love you.”
